I've always been a big fan of body modification, ever since I was a child, around the age of 11 and 12. I had seen my own father with ear rings, multiple tattoos and a labret piercing, and always wondered what it would be like to have my own body modifications. In my local area of Swindon, in South West England, there are many studios that practice body modifications, ranging from scarring, skin punches, any piercing you can think of, and full body art, so I decided to get my first piercing...

Piercing wise, I started out with a single labret, quickly moving on to my septum, bridge, both my nipples, cheeks, stretching my lobes and tongue, anti-eyebrows, eyebrows, lowbrets, nostrils and madonnas... But I felt I needed something pierced below the waistline! My mam wasn't against piercings at all, and allowed me to get them, and she even has her lip, eyebrow and nose pierced now. When I said about my Prince Albert, she was totally fine with it, seeing as it wouldn't alter my chances of employment in the future. A friend happened to overhear me talk about getting a PA piercing, and decided to get his done. This really gave me the confidence to go for mine and I booked my piercing date and time there and then. I had finally plucked up the confidence to get it done myself the very next day, and I was more excited about it than any other body modification I had had up to this time. About 8 or 9 months back, I got up, did the daily morning routine, and went to Swindon to g et my piercing. On my way to the studio, I was running over my decision, over and over, thinking what if it goes wrong, or my dick falls off!!! This was no "normal" piercing, if this went wrong, it could cause many problems! I was very, very nervous!

I strolled into the studio and asked the girl when would she be able to perform my PA piercing, and she said that there would be half an hours wait. I waited and waited and it felt like forever... Finally I was called into the piercing studio to be pierced!!! At this point my heart was pounding, and I was feeling light headed. I walked in, and looked at all the needles, clamps, antibacterial wipes and other various piercing equipment. I was glad to see a certificate showing that the girl who was about to pierce me was fully trained, because this was no back street job! The piercer and I talked for a couple of moments before she told me to whip off my trousers! It was like a pornographic movie in the making, except I was about to have a 2.4mm needle inserted up my urethra!

Sometimes I wonder why I go through these painful experience's. But I have always loved the alternative scene, and I knew this piercing would have its benefits...

THE BELT WAS OFF and I was sat there with my underwear round my ankles... I felt so uneasy it was unreal! She got all the correct equipment from the autoclave and strolled over to me. I was shocked to see what the nervous feeling had done to me down below! I thought it was quite funny when she said "play with it, makes it easier to pierce"!!! So I led down looking at the bright, blinding lights of the ceiling of the studio, playing with myself, and she began spraying a very cold numbing agent onto the area that was about to be stabbed! For what like felt like an hour, we waited for the numbing agent to take effect, and when it finally did, she told me to take a deep breath, and release [My lungs that is, not my semen!!!] on the count of 3. She inserted the needle into my urethra, and it was the strangest feeling I have ever felt!

1, 2, and 3... I clenched my fists and tried to bare the sharp stabbing pain in the end of my old man. She swiftly changed the plastic tube and needle for 2.4mm, 19mm wide BCR. Anything under 2mm is risky as it can act like cutting wire through your penis, which isn't too nice, unless you want it split!

STRETCHING MY PIERCING:

After 4 months of letting the piercing heal, I decided to begin stretching my PA piercing. I went from my 2.4mm BCR ring, to a 3.2mm curved barbell. The change went much easier than planned. I always wait no less 3 months to stretch my PA, because to rush and mess up my piercing down below, is not a good idea! If your reading this because your either thinking of getting a PA piercing, or have one already and thinking about stretching it, don't be worried to change to a 3.2mm after 4 months of having the piercing. Its much more comfortable and it looks much cooler too, in my opinion. I then went another 3 months before stretching to a 4mm with some difficulty seeing as I couldn't find the exit hole where I was pierced.

Personally, when stretching my Prince Albert, say i'm stretching from a 4mm to a 5mm, like I will next week, I will have the 5mm taper and disinfect it in boiling water. Then I will apply a thin layer of lubricant to the taper, such as KY jelly, or vaseline, as I use. I find the best way to stretch is to insert the taper into the urethra and find the other hole where the piercing exits. Once you have done this, get your next size BCR or curved barbell and rest the face of the barbell on the end of your taper. Now, when you pull the taper through, it will help guide the new BCR or curved barbell through without any trouble. Tapering is the best way to stretch the PA piercing in my opinion, as it is a painless [unless you stretch too quickly of course!] easier, and theres less of a chance of stretching to quickly as you will feel some pain if you try to stretch too far with a taper. If you get to the point where it begins to hurt, STOP, and wait a week longer! I found it tempti ng to stretch once a month like my ears, but you can't rush stretching. For me, I leave my PA no less than 3 months between each stretch, no less! I used to think it would help to add weights to the ring to help the stretch but THIS IS A BAD WAY OF STRETCHING, due to the fact that the weights put more strain on the tissues directly supporting the piercing, causing migration, which is bad. I stretching to a 10mm in my PA, and leave it 3 months in between each stretch, and stretch right after a hot bath.

Many people find that going for their Prince Albert piercing is one of the most nerve racking piercing experiences, due to the fact that you have to get out your penis, whereas, going for a lip, ear or even a nipple piercing, I found, is no where near as bad. This is a great piercing to have, and I like it when people say "Noway, you are MAD!!!" or "Sexy, lets see" and other things. Personally, I would say, if your thinking about getting this piercing, GO FOR IT! Keep in mind you can't have sex for 6 weeks, but its really not that long to wait! Also, when its healed and ready to go, it's good fun, and I love it. However, it takes some getting used to, and if you and your partner find it slightly uncomfortable, there are specially made PA bars, which are incredibly comfortable when having sex.
