Boredom can sometimes lead to weird things. Like on that Friday night when I was bored but not sleepy and gave a final try to DIY pierce my PA. (see: Thanks goddess for Emla) It was all right until I figured that my CBB (circular barbell, also called horse shoe) was not big enough! The half inch jewelry would have been way too tight, and the swelling would have probably led to cheese cutter effect (small gauge jewelry is pushed trough the flesh because of the pressure, just like cutting cheese with a wire).
My temporary solution (putting one inch straight barbell in) was ok but only for a few hours. First thing in the morning was to get proper jewelry. I headed to the music store. It was obvious that I couldn't get a CBR (captive bead ring) in since it's almost impossible to do a follow up with these if you don't open them. Since I had no ring opener and closer at hand, I opted for a CBB. Knowing that 14ga was quite small, I decided to stretch it up to 12ga.
Back at home I cleaned the jewelry, opened my previously autoclaved taper and got to work. I wondered how to get the jewelry out and the taper in without getting my 12 hours old piercing close on me. I removed the upper bead from my PA, stuck a bit of polysporine onto the taper, stuck the taper against the 14ga barbell, and slid it out without loosing the connection. I could feel every thread of the barbell while it was moving into my urethra. But once the taper had made its way in, it was ok. A few drops of blood showed up and lubricated the taper for easy stretch.
About four days later the CBB started to pinch every now and then, so I went to the music store again. I got a 10ga CBB, hoping to lessen pinching. I tried to do a follow up like I had done with the previous stretch but when I got to insert the jewelry I slipped and lost the connection. Having no other choices, I got the taper and tried to slide it in but I couldn't get it to the exit point. I had the flash of sliding it like I pierced it! I knew where the entry hole was and the initial straight barbell had moved it around. The taper slid right trough and this time the CBB got right in!
Even though I was at 10ga, the pinching got back. I paid another visit to my music store (take note that it's over an hour of drive from my place). I started to talk to the amateur piercer there. I couldn't find anything else than CBB in gauges over 14 and it stopped at 10ga. I started to think about getting a BBB (bent barbell, like for an eyebrow); it should be more comfy since the whole piece of jewelry is in the body. When I asked her about an 8ga BBB, she just told me it didn't exist and asked me why I wanted that gauge. The face she made when I told her I had pierced my PA was hilarious! But yet she couldn't get any.
Back home I jumped on the net and got one for a few pennies from wildcat. Meanwhile, pinching was getting more and more annoying! With a 12ga CBR that was big enough, I decided to lower the size to help the healing. The CBR helped by not getting caught on most things such as my foreskin but my foreskin was pushing the CBR back, causing some discomfort.
About 2 weeks later I got the BBB. Hoping to stretch it back to 10ga, I was sad to see that they sent me a 12ga. But I couldn't say a word because it barely cost me anything, and I was happy to get the BBB. It was so comfortable! The whole jewelry sat in my penis, avoiding getting caught on anything! The bead was backing up a little in the urethra because it was swollen and slightly stretched from the previous jewelry. By no means can I express how comfortable it was! Just like day and night. I did not wake up at night because of pain anymore. I could pee with very minimal shower effect. And the foreskin wasn't stretched anymore! The next morning I got on BMEshop and got the cheapest BBB I could get.
A week later, with a half healed PA, I received my 6ga BBB. Now it was to get it in. I had to move from a 12ga to a 6ga which is literally twice as big! When I got home at 4pm, I stretched to 10ga. The pain was minimal and the CBB was an easy fit. The process took about 5 minutes.
At about 10pm, I moved on to 8ga. I didn't have any proper jewelry at that gauge but I had an acrylic pincher (it was supposed to be for my septum which turned out too crooked!) The stretch was quite hard. Sadly, the taper kept backing up. In order to avoid that, I used an O-ring. I had to struggle for an hour to get it trough but it was in. I got the pincher and put it in. It was odd, and I was scared to crush it. But I knew I couldn't handle the next step the same night.
The next morning the pincher was practically bound to my penis. There were so many crusties around it; it took me an hour of sea salt soak and picking at it. Once I got the pincher clean, I lubed the next taper, and got it in. The pain was really bad, every push was laborious. The back up was so bad that I had to use two O-rings to keep the taper from being ejected. I tried to go in the bath, in the shower and to use hot towels... Anything I could think of! After 3 hours of pain, it was finally all the way trough! I wasn't ready to do the transition right away therefore I secured the taper in place and taped it to my body, so it wouldn't get bumped into anything. After an hour or so, I moved on with the jewelry. I applied as much pressure as I could. I knew that I wouldn't have a second chance, my body wouldn't let me do that stretch again! The internal threaded jewelry slid right in. The BBB was perfect! The length was good enough to allow a pain free erection, but not long enough to get caught in anything!
The weeks passed, my PA healed and I got an itch to go bigger. I got a 4ga BBB from BMEshop. It took me about a week to make up my mind and stretch it! I took the 6ga BBB out. The piercing looked quite healed, so I lubed the taper, and got it in. The pain! I must have forgotten how much it hurt to stretch the PA! But I applied more pressure onto it and a few pushes later the whole 3 inches were trough and the jewelry was ready to be inserted. I tried to keep the connection as tight as I could but when I was almost out, I slipped and lost it. I was MAD! When I looked at it, it was right on the edge. I pushed the BBB a little, and it was trough. I tightened the bead and within 10 minutes my nightmare was over!
Even though I describe stretching as a painful process, I really enjoy it. It amazes me that I can get things that big in a piercing! I think I could still move on to 2ga but I'm happy for now and I can't afford the BBB and taper right now! Will it close again? Is the 2ga the critical point? As far as I know it won't close. So what the hell, I might end up with 0ga! But I'm glad to be where I am now.
