I've been thinking about getting a P.A. for quite a while, and had some rare extra time this afternoon to finally fulfill this little fantasy. Unfortunately everything did not go as smoothly as planned.

The following story should illustrate why.
Boredom set in about 2 P.M. and I had this urge (again) to see if I could grow enough balls to shove a piece of metal through my genitals. I had been planning to order the proper supplies from BME shop, but I just got too damn impatient. Instead of the proper gauge needle I soaked a very sharp sewing pin in some bleach, then boiled it for half an hour as I set myself up in the Bathroom and prepared myself mentally. I'm estimating the size of the pin to be somewhere between 16 and 14 gauge, much to thin for a piercing that takes this kind of abuse. I had done plenty of research on the subject before attempting this for the first time, (this is probably the 4th or 5th attempt, I'm a wiener what can I say) and was fairly confident I could perform the procedure, although, I really didn't think I'd actually carry through again. Once my needle was sterilized I took it into the bathroom, and started to play a little bit. I enjoy urethral sounding, so I thought maybe it would hurt l ess if I stimulated myself a bit before hand. Since I did not have the proper supplies, I planned on going from the urethra out, instead of pushing a needle into a receiving tube. As I pushed the pin through, the pain was less than I felt on my previous attempts, so I continued until I felt the skin in my urethra pop. I thought well since I made it this far, I might as well continue. I pierced my self very slow; the whole procedure probably took about 10 minutes. I was surprised at how tight the skin was and how hard it was to pull the needle through over the taper at the end of the needle.
Now, as I said before, I really didn't think I'd actually complete the piercing, and didn't have any jewelry on hand. I wasn't too worried about it, as there was NO BLEEDING at all to speak of, which made me happy as I've read that some people really bleed a lot. I cut the sharp end of the needle off, and put a condom on just incase I hurt myself on the way to the shop. No need to ruin my pants right? When I got to the shop, they didn't have any CBB's at the gauge I was planning to stretch to, and didn't have any tapers either. Fortunately they did have the new AFI cd (I thought it was supposed to come out tomorrow?) so I bought that instead. I have a short attention span.
I moved on to the mall, as I know Hot Topic sells some body jewelry and there is also a kiosk that sells jewelry. I walked slightly unnaturally into the mall and bought an 8-gauge acrylic taper from Hot Topic and a 10 gauge CBR from the kiosk. I made my way back home, only to find, that the skin was simply to tight, and the taper to big to push into the piercing. After fighting with it for about forty-five minutes, and causing it to bleed a little bit, my girlfriend came home. I got dressed again and told her what I was up to, and she was fairly excited. She wanted to see it, so I showed her (the pin was still in at this point) and became about half erect while showing her, which caused a little bleeding. I told her about the difficulties I was having, and since she had to go back to work, I'd go see if I could complete the piercing. I sanitized an exacto blade the same way I had the needle, and whittled the end of the taper. I was still having difficulties so I made a small incision at the exit hole of the piercing to help me insert the taper. Still having trouble, I decided that a hot soak might loosen up the tissue a bit. It did and I managed to get the taper into the hole. At this point I removed the needle from the piercing entirely, which was a mistake, because the hole was so small, I could not follow it with the taper, and after several desperate minutes of trying to finish the piercing, I gave up. I've since urinated several times, and although it leaked the first two times, the last time I went a few minutes ago, urination was completely normal. Pain was very slight when I wasn't trying to stretch the piercing, and has now almost completely disappeared. I rubbed some Neosporin on the wound. I've dealt with the disappointment of not completing the piece, and will place an order to the bme shop tomorrow.
