I had wanted a PA for a while. I thought it would look great with my ampalang. I was hoping it would look tough, like a rhinoceros. Actually, I just really liked the idea of taking control over my penis and showing it who was boss.

After picking out a day where I would be able to take it easy afterwards, I headed down to the studio. I had never been there before, but was recommended there by some friends. It looked clean and was decorated very comfortably. I talked to the piercer, he answered my questions, although he seemed as though I was bothering him. Thinking back on it, he really seemed arrogant. At the time, I thought that was a good thing. I figured he really knew his stuff and was just tired of answering the same questions, over and over. He went over the aftercare with me, had me fill out a release form and it was time.

Once we entered the room, I noticed something. The only thing blocking the piercing room from the rest of the shop was a black curtain. It wasn't much, every time someone walked by the curtain, it would move and I could see people outside. That made me a little uncomfortable. I didn't say anything at the time, I guess I was a little intimidated. I laid down on the table, pulled my pants down and just closed my eyes. The piercer told me everything he was doing, which I found very reassuring. He cleaned the area with an alcohol pad, then an iodine swab, and then he marked it. I looked at the mark and said that it looked centered to me.

Now that the marking was done, it was time for the piercing. He explained to me that he was going to use a receiving tube and place it in my urethra. Whoa, a what, and where? That made me a little uncomfortable so I had him show me what he was talking about. He showed me the receiving tube, which is just a hollow steel tube. He explained how he had to place it inside my urethra to catch the needle. OK, now hold on! The receiving tube he showed me was way bigger than the needle. I asked him why he had to use something so big, and put it in such a small place. His only response was, "it's just standard practice". Alright, I can't argue with that, what do I know. He place this tube inside my urethra. I'm not going to lie, that part sucked. It felt like the receiving tube was two sizes too big. It burned and pinched all at the same time. Really sucked! Once he got that where he wanted it, he said he would guide my breathing and do the piercing on an exhale. Soun ds good, I just listen to him. So, I'm listening to him, "in, out, in, out, in", WOW, he never said out. So much for doing the piercing on an exhale.

I look down, and there it is, a 10g needle sticking out of my pee hole. But wait, where's my penis? I swear the little guy shrank up so much it looked like an elevator button. He slid the 10g captive ring in and said I should expect some bleeding for the first day, maybe two. I looked down again and I was amazed. It looked just how I had thought it would. My own personal zoo animal, kept in my trousers.

I got dressed, went out to the waiting area, and waited for him to clean everything up. He came out and went over the aftercare instructions again. Which were, dial soap in the morning, and try to urinate afterwards to get any soap residue out of my urethra. He said it should be healed in about a month and a half unless I was really rough with it. Good enough, I paid and was on my way. All the feelings I had before hand about him being arrogant, and me being uncomfortable were forgotten about. Until the next morning!

The next morning my penis was still bleeding very heavily and was really bruised. That night, same thing. When I woke up the second day, it looked like someone was murdered in my bed. I was covered in blood. I wrapped my penis in an ice pack to try and restrict the blood vessels and called the piercer. He told me I was paranoid and I probably went home and had sex or something stupid. I explained that I had done nothing to it and infact had called in sick to work both the day directly after having it pierced and that day due to the amount of bleeding. He still was trying to pass blame onto me and only said not to worry about it. So, I tried not to, for another 2 days. Still bleeding, really swollen and really bruised. Time for another opinion.

I went to another shop explained my situation and asked if they could take a look. They said that what was happening was not my fault at all, but it was the piercers. They showed my that my frenulum was very well pronounced and that it should have been pierced just to the side of it, instead of directly through it. I was a little confused, so they got their portfolio out and showed me some examples. What was happening was, since I was pierced directly through my frenulum, every time I got an erection(which is totally unavoidable), it would pull and was actually tearing. Hence, blood, blood, and more blood. He said it would probably take care of itself if I could wait it out, or I could remove it and get it redone later on. Well, I couldn't afford to call in sick again, so I just had him remove it. He said if I kept my jewelry, he could autoclave it and reuse it, that way I don't have to pay full price the second time. He also told me, I should at least call the guy who pierced it and explain how unhappy I was. I did just that, he went on to tell me how stupid I was for going somewhere else instead of back to him, and he didn't want to hear anything about what I was told. Very unprofessional.

I recently got my PA redone, which will be another experience for me to share another time. What I will tell you about the second experience is, it was great. I wasn't uncomfortable at all, it healed very quickly, and it didn't bleed at all. Any questions i had were answered, and there was no feeling that i was bothering them by asking. My advice for all of you wanting this piercing is to do your research. If someone seems arrogant, or you feel uncomfortable at all, leave. There is no rule that says once you walk into a studio you have to get pierced there. My first PA experience turned into a real pain, my second one was very different. It was very rewarding, very comfortable, and hardly hurt at all. Even the receiving tube was smaller. Thank god for that! Good luck to you.
