O.K. I am 53 years old, a professional educator, wear a suit to work everyday and have zero (count 'em) zero piercings in my nose, ears, lips, tongue, eyebrows or other facial parts. I have no tattoos anywhere either - yet. So...why a Prince Albert? How did I get from zero interest in piercing, tattoos or any body mod to a ring in my dick in less than three months?

A couple months ago, my wife had both her nipples pierced as gift to me to celebrate a significant shift in our relationship – a shift I will leave to your imagination. The 12g, 5/8ths CBR's were beautiful...and her willingness to do this for my enjoyment (not that she is not NOW enjoying them also...) was a thrill. After a couple of weeks of enjoying her adornments...and her generous gift...I decided that I should have at least one nipple pierced to share the experience. If hers looked good (and were starting to FEEL good) why not join in?

We had our piercings done at Splash of Color in East Lansing MI after considerable research (much at BME, of course) about what to watch for in a shop and how to know if your piercer knew what he/she was doing and just how much trouble aftercare would be. And research, of course, on what to expect pain-wise.

My nipple piercing went well – hurt a lot, but very briefly – and my confidence in the professionalism of Renee, my piercer and the shop was very high. Aftercare instructions were clear and have been very helpful. But...a small ring in one nipple does not make for a very daring or interesting or colorful or adventuresome piercing. So....that leaves the genitals...the really private parts...the sensitive areas that everyone says are so much more sensitive when filled with metal.

There was something intriguing also about knowing that in nearly all work and social situations, I'd be the only man in the room with a ring in his dick. That alone was a little arousing. I read nearly all the reports of other's experiences posted at BME and a few almost scared me off...but I have always been one to play the odds and MOST reports were very positive.

Renee couldn't do my PA since she had not 'apprenticed' enough on that piercing so I made an appointment with Kevin, one of the more experienced piercers at Splash of Color. Kevin knew that I had recently had my nipple pierced and was able to skip some of the preliminaries. He suggested (and I agreed based on my research) to go with a 10 g, 11/16ths CBR. The receiving tube up my urethra (which most say is the toughest part...) wasn't. It was no big deal and only mildly irritating. Then came the piercing itself.

Don't believe the reports of 'only a little pain' or the famous 'it's really just a thin membrane and you won't feel much of anything.' Kevin was great and obviously did his work very professionally. But....it hurt a lot. A lot. But...true to form, it hurt for a SHORT time and the rush took over. I guess some of us are simply wired to ride right past the second or two of pain and coast into that euphoric place that lies just past it. A little discomfort fitting the ball in the CBR, and then I was done. A little bleeding that night, virtually gone on day two, and nothing but a little soreness (quickly dissipating hourly...) on day three. And...also on day three...the first sense that this addition is really going to feel REALLY GOOD when fully healed and in full use.

Unfortunately, hanging around with a suited, conservative middle-aged professional crowd doesn't give me many people to show my new jewelry to. I can't really drop trou in the middle of an executive leadership meeting and let them all enjoy my beautiful and daring Prince Albert. I plan to stretch to an 8 g in the PA relatively soon for the comfort that Kevin suggests it will afford...but I will avoid going to the 00 gauge. I refuse to have jewelry in my dick that is bigger than my dick. And I am stretching my nipple ring from a 'training CBR' to a real 12 g, 5/8'' titanium wonder and adding another to the other nipple. So the folks at Splash of Color will get to see a lot of my finery. Guess maybe I'll need to enroll in a fitness class where I work so I can shower with some folks who might appreciate my good taste in piercings and jewelry.

My PA looks great. Feels great. Very little trouble and a great rush from the pierce. Go. Do it now. Don't stop until the whole world (at least the male part...) is PA equipped. Wars will end...no more cutting people off in traffic....solitary and mutual enjoyment of adorned male organs will take over for television and bowling and hanging around the pub.
