PA - My First Piercing |

"Yes, I really did get a Prince Albert." Those were the most spoken words out of my mouth for the past few weeks. After that, the questions were flying, and my response was usually "Just Because."After taking some time off to work, I was back at Virginia Tech for at least another year. Having the perfect opportunity to get the tongue ring I had always thought about, I started doing research on this site, and came across the Prince Albert. I bounced the idea around for a week or so, and then decided it would be done. Tongue rings are becoming very trendy, and I really wanted to do something different. At a party the night classes ended, I mentioned to several of my friends that I was going to do it. Only one believed me, and he was there the next day as my witness.
I had several friends that had gotten tattoos and other piercings at Ancient Art in Blacksburg, Virginia, so I knew it would be the best place to have it done. At Ancient Art, I was greeted by one of their piercer's, Brady. After filling out the paperwork, Brady gave me the option of either a ring with a ball, or a circular barbell. I selected a 10ga circular barbell, because he said many people find them more comfortable. I knew I wanted to get this done, so there was no hesitation, and back to the room we went.
I had read a lot of these stories, so I knew what to expect. Brady was very clean, professional, and answered the remaining questions I had. Lying on my back, I removed my shorts and sat in my boxers. Selecting a spot, he made a mark on the underside of my penis. After lubricating the metal receiving tube, he gingerly inserted it into my urethra. It's hard to describe what this felt like, it wasn't painful, mostly just uncomfortable. Working to relax me, Brady told me to focus on my breathing and take deep breaths. He emphasized this several times and I was about to learn why. I chose not to know when he was going to pierce me, so after a few deep breaths, there was a sharp pinch. Seconds later, the jewelry was in place and the pain was over.
After wrapping my unit up with tissue and tape, Brady gave me cleaning and care instructions. He explained that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to completely heal, so I need to take special care of it, cleaning twice a day with antibacterial soap and bactine. He also mentioned that this area is one of the easiest to stretch out, should I be interested in going with a larger barbell in the future.
After leaving Ancient Art, I checked myself in a bathroom, and saw the blood was seeping out of the bandage. Simply adding some extra tissue solved the problem, so I kept the bandages on until later that night. Before I went to bed, I took a shower to clean everything off, and the bleeding had stopped. Waking up the next morning, I had a little blood on my boxers, but nothing to worry about.
I was a little sensitive and walked funny for the first couple of days. I also learned how to sleep on my back, but "morning wood" was an uncontrollable dilemma. The extra cleaning was not a problem, and after a week, I couldn't even tell I had been pierced.
It's been almost three weeks now, just me and my Prince Albert. So far, I definitely think it has been worth the little bit of extra care and caution required with a piercing of this area. The pain is minimal, but the excitement can be endless. The shock value has worn off for now, at least until I meet someone to truly experience it with me. On that note, Brady made it very clear to use condoms until it has completely healed because it is an open wound in a very sensitive area.
Word spread quickly about what I had done, and the questions came even faster.
-Yes, this is my first piercing.
-No, it didn't hurt a lot, just a pinch.
-Yes, it's nearly impossible to pee straight.
-No, a girl didn't tell me to do this.
-Yes, you can see it, if you ask nicely.
Everything has gone very smoothly and is healing nicely. I may still go back and get the tongue ring, but that will be another story. I highly recommend getting a Prince Albert to anyone who wants to do something a little different. The best part of getting this piercing is that no one has to know, unless you tell them. Oh yea, and it looks awesome!
Big Thanks to Brady and Ancient Art in Blacksburg, Virginia. Go Virginia Tech Hokies!
