At A Glance Author Timo Contact Timo@bme.anon When It just happened Artist Pam Studio Obscurities Location Dallas, TX I had been waiting for over a year to get my piercing, and now I just had to wait for my friend to show up from work. She is a real trouper for wanting to go with me to get my penis pierced. She really loves the process and experience of piercing so I figured she would get a kick out of it. I had a frenum piercing in 1999 and that lasted all of 3 months when I thought it would be okay to take it out and put it back in... well , it was not alright since it would not go back in, so I kicked myself and forgot about it. This time I wanted to get an Ampallang, so I started bugging Pam at Obscurities in Dallas asking about it. That happened for some time and eventually after looking over articles in bmezine I changed my mind to an Apadravya. This just seemed like it made more sense to get than the other.
My friend, Mary, was going crazy for some time about getting to go see this happen, but today she was just jumping out of her skin. By the time she showed up, and I gave her a drink to calm down while I watch, she was just jumping up and down exclaiming about how she cant believe she is getting to see this. She went on and on for some time pretty much until 4 hours after the piercing about how excited she was, but at first she was making me a bit nervous. I had come to terms with what I was going to do, but she kept asking if I was nervous and such and I started to get there. Anyhow, I would not have had it any other way. I loved to se how excited she was.
9:00pm:
We drove for an hour to get to the shop and got there a short while before they closed. There were people lined up to get some jobs done (two) ad someone came in behind us and we let them go ahead of us since she was getting a quicker and simpler piercing and mine would just be taking much longer plus if I screamed or cried like a baby in the corner there would be less people in the place to point and laugh at me.
9:30pm
Finally it was time. Pam did some measuring and explaining about the gauges, which I wanted the 8 gauge from the beginning, but after she showed me the bevel I may or may not have started freaking out a bit, but she said it is just at matter of 3 seconds of pain versus 5 seconds of pain, so I stuck with the 8.
One of the other piercers, Jay, who is being mentored by Pam asked her quietly, but I heard, if he could ask me if he could watch since he had never seen that piercing done. He asked I said yep, but that he had to hold the camera, but Mary ended up holding it anyhow. I should have had him holding it since Mary was hypnotized. I then offered to the other customers that were getting ready to leave if they wanted in on the action, but they all just ran out of the door... heheheh
10:00pm:
Finally we were on the table making marks and breathing and letting the pressure build up and freaking me out a bit. She was explaining everything she was doing or about to do, and why he should or should not do things. She clamped down a bit with the clamp thing, but it did not hurt like with the frenum, so I figured she was just explaining. She told me to take a deep breath in, which I was already doing anyhow, so I did not pay attention to the fact that she was about to stab away. It started hurting but I though she had just done the clamp, until she said ok, that was the bevel we were talking about, so it should only hurt a bit longer. It did not hurt much, but I did start to breath a bit faster, but Mary was there to see I was stressing out a bit, even though the pain went away fast but she rubbed my chest and hair and I calmed down with the fast hyperventilation. Then Mary was snapping pictures like crazy, and Pam asked if I wanted to see it. I did not feel like sitting up right away, so I had Mary hand me my camera and I skimmed through the shots, and it was AWESOME, so I hopped right up and strutted around the room and laughed about how easy it was compared to what I had read before and then my pants were on, and I was off with the supply Pam and Jay had explained to me, and then immediately regretted not having Jay video the whole thing so I would have it and he could use it for review and such for his training... Oh well... It is AWESOME and I was so glad I did it.
10:30pm (because I am a chatty Kathy):
Mary drove us to my house and I had cooked some dinner and she had a beer and we chatted about how excited she was about the whole experience. The after uploading pictures to Flickr and starting to type up in my live journal, Mary mentioned that my shorts had a nice blood stain on them, so we took advantage of the opportunity to go un wrap that thing and do a cleaning. I took everything off and it sure was bleeding much more than when the piercing was done to begin with. I cleaned it up by the instructions and tried different things to wrap it with and also noticed after all of the time we spent at the store buying gear for the evening, that we forgot distilled Water, but Mary is bringing it to my house later tonight. So, we got all cleaned up and back out to chat more on the couch.
Later that night as she was driving home I noticed I was soaking through again, so I went to the restroom again and went through the whole thing for cleaning and had it out in the open and did not notice that I was dripping blood all over my new carpet... That to that point was the only downfall of the whole experience, but I got it cleaned up after some spray and hard scrubbing and vacuum. I then wrapped up again and Mary was searching frantically for tips on the bleeding but found nothing really, so all I have to say is KEEP IT CLEAN. Clean it everything you bleed a lot and you should be golden.
Wednesday 6:30am:
So this morning around 6:30 I got my alarm going off (Morning Hard-on). I had read that it was just like pressure, but for me it was nice and painful. I guess it all depends on the piercing and angles and anatomy and such, so I just sat for a while and tried to calm down and let my stomach settle, but now I am back at work (from home because "Im sick", which I was actually, but I don't feel that now that I have something else on my mind).
I'll keep you updated as time goes on with this thing.
Thanks again to Mary, my hero and super cutie. And thanks to Obscurities and Pam and Jay. I GOT MY APADRAVYA!!!
10:00am:
See you soon.
