It always seems like people get so excited to write about their experiences that they do it as soon as they get the procedure done. When people do that, there is a lot of reading material about the person themselves and the actual procedure, but nothing about the healing process, or if it even healed at all. Personally I like to read about that more than the procedure, so I decided to wait until my piercing was healed to write this.

Before I Get Started:

Just so you know, I had a PA that is now an Apadravya, I did not have the entire length of the piercing done at once.

To make a long story short, my fascination with genital piercing comes from when I was four years old. I did not have my foreskin removed when I was born. At the ripe age of four, I had my foreskin removed in a surgical procedure. I was left with stitches all the way around my penis right below the glands. I thought those stitches were the neatest things. It is one of the earliest things I remember clearly, and I guess the joy of having metal in my dick stayed with me throughout the years.

PROCEDURE:

This was done very professionally, by a good piercer. He warned me about the amount of blood and the healing time, but I already did quite a bit of research and was as prepared as I could get. For the jewelry and sizes, I had a 10g PA, and he pierced my Apa at 12g and used a 1" long bar. He took me in the room, and explained how to take care of it while it's healing and how to clean it. Everything was autoclaved, he changed his gloves 3 times if I remember correctly. He marked me, and I approved of the placement. He also told me that it was going to be just off to the side a little bit because of my frenum, which was fine with me. He clamped me, and I can't remember if he put a receiving tube in my bottom hole, I think he did. He then got me breathing, he started counting, and then put the needle straight through. He let me wait a second before he put the jewelry in, and after he put in, all I could get myself to say was "thank you."

Lots of people talk about this piercing being fairly painful. Not including my Hafadas, this was the most painless piercing I've had. This was not nearly as painful as my PA, and not even close to the amount of pain I felt in my punctured nipples.

HEALING:

First Night

Not very sore, but I was also being very careful in every move I made. I didn't have a problem with the 1 ½ hour drive home. I urinated, it felt good, and I went to bed.

Next Day

A single drop of blood on my boxers, and that is the only time my Apa will ever bleed during the whole healing process.

1 Month

I have a bump that resembles a blister on the top hole. I continue my cleaning regimen of two sea salt soaks a day and antibacterial soap once a day.

2 Months

I noticed that my erections were uncomfortable, and seemed to be the length of the barbell that was the problem. So I had the piercer replace the 1" barbell with a 1 1/4" one. This is the one I still have in now. It is way too long, but I felt so much better and I started healing faster. My bump also finally went away.

4 Months

I had to go to the hospital for a surgical procedure, and they told me I needed to take out any metal body jewelry that I had. Now was the time for me to get a retainer. I decided to simply make one, so I used .085" weed whacker line(I didn't use used weed whacker line!). I had never messed with any body jewelry before, so I had a piercer friend help me out. We took the barbell out, lubed up my retainer I crafted, and then put O-rings on each side of it. I was now ready to be hospitalized. When they asked if I had piercings at the hospital, I explained to them that I put non-metal retainers in the holes. The lady was nice, and did not act like I was a weirdo when she realized my genitals were pierced.

As soon as I got back home, I put my barbell and nipple rings back in with little trouble.

6 Months

I'm finally healed, and I'm ready to stretch up to 10g. The healing went very smooth, with only a few little problems. It is by far my favorite piercing.

In conclusion, if you really want this piercing, get it. You will most likely love it. Just make sure you get an expert to do it, and make sure to take good care of it while it's healing. Until next time, get more piercings.
