Let me start by saying that I had previously had my nipples pierced several years ago. I was about 16 and I did them myself with a needles I had gotten from my sister. I had them for around 4 years. I had always had trouble with my right one due to the fact that I had pierced it way to shallow. I had gotten pregnant with my daughter and as much as I wanted to keep them it just wasn't going to be possible. Unfortunately, I had removed them when I was 4 months pregnant due to the immense amount of pain they were causing. I was terribly saddenned by this and always missed them. I waited almost 2 years before deciding that I had to have them back and I couldn't wait any longer.

About a month ago I decided to repierce them. The first nipple was pretty uneventful. It hadn't fully closed and my sister iam:casketdreamer assisted me. However, The second was not going to be as easy. The origional placement was crooked and a lot more shallow than I would have liked it to be, as I stated above. My sister said if I was willing to put it off for a few hours she would repierce it for me. I agreed, but very soon after impatience got the best of me. I decided that since I had origionally pierced them myself, I could do it once again. No big deal, right? I was so wrong. I did not take into consideration that there could be scar tissue for one thing, along with all the other things that could go wrong.

So there I stood, in my sister's bathroom, preparing myself. I got as ready as I ever thought I would and started to push. This time it hurt, a lot. It hurt ten times worse than the first time I ahd done them. I tried to regain my composure, but couldn't. It just was too much to handle. I decided that it was time to ask for help, and to probably get yelled at for not waiting, but I wasn't turning back now. There was no way, especially after how much pain I had just put myself through.

So, I walk through to the kitchen, shirtless and with half a needle hanging out of my nipple, begging her to just shove it through. I was right my sister was pissed, especially since she was right in the middle of eating lunch. After stating her unhappiness briefly, she washed her hands and put on gloves, cursing the whole time. She wasn't particularly happy about the sterility issues of shoving a needle through my nipple in the middle of her kitchen, but thankfully she was still willing to help me in my time of desperation. She got out a new needle and lubed it up. I had also forgot to do this, which I'm sure was part of the reason it hurt so bad when I tried. Anyways, she grabbed a purple marker and quickly marked my nipple where I wanted it to be at. She didn't want to use clamps since I was already in so much pain and she had already done several nipples freehand previously.

It was time to be in pain again. She asked me if I was ready and i quickly closed my eyes and nodded. Two quick breaths later and it was done. It was slightly less painful than a few minutes previous, but not by much. It still had a sensation kinda like burning or at least like an intense heat. It was done though and I was just glad to have that damn needle all the way through already. Within a minute she had slipped the jewelry in and tightened down the balls. I was finally even and in a whole less pain. She threw a bag of sea salt at me and told me you know what to do. She still wasn't very happy with me at this point. I definately should have listened when she told me to wait.

Within 24 hours they had stopped hurting and had only small amounts of lymph. (especially considering the amount of damage I probably caused in my own attempt)I cleaned them avidly with sea salt and warm water using a shot glass for each, and they healed, for the most part, in about 2 weeks. I have changed the jewelry to shorter bars once since them with no problems.

To anyone thinking about this piercing: I love mine and would definately recommend them to anyone else considering them. I however wouldn't recommend doing them in an unsterile kitchen while your piercer/my sister is in the middle of eating her lunch. Mine turned out fine but a lot of things could have went wrong. I was very lucky. I was lucky enough to have my sister, her knowledge, and her sterile piercing equipment at my disposal when I needed help. Hopefully, my experience will help someone else out.
