For the longest time, I have wanted to get my nipples pierced. I don't know what it is about it, but something about it just drew me in and captivated me. And now that I'm 18, I was finally old enough to get them done, because there was no way my parents would have ever let me.

When A week ago Artist Ashley Studio Mainstreet Studios Location Ashland, United States Where I live, we have two piercing studios, and the one is, by word of mouth, far more reputable then the other, so it was no choice on which to go to. My friend wanted to take me as a late birthday present.
I called when I got off work to talk to Ashley, the piercer, and she said I didn't need to make an appointment and I could just come on in. Hearing that I called my friend to come get me as soon as I could to go down there and get pierced!
Upon walking in, I was greeted by Ashley, the piercer, and she asked what I wanted. When I told her I wanted my nipples, I was slightly surprised she didn't comment on how young I look, but said it would be just fine. She asked me to get my ID out (which I check about 500 times before I left to make sure I had) as she went to go get the paperwork. She checked my ID to make sure that I was 18 as I started filling out the basics on the form. Then she took me upstairs to the next step.
She showed me her portfolio to see which way I wanted the piercings done. I chose to get standard horizontal rings. We went into her little room thing and she began setting up. It was as clean, if not cleaner, the any doctors office. She washed her hands, put gloves on, put stuff on the tray, changed her gloves, got stuff out of autoclaved packages, changed her gloves, had me take my shirt and bra off, marked me up about 15 times, (which I was okay with as long as she got them straight, and she did) changed her gloves and got ready to pierce me! [She probably did a lot more, but I was too excited to notice anything else going on.]
Lining up the clamps, lining up the needle to pierce, deep breath in, out and pierced.
"You aren't feeling dizzy or lightheaded or anything, are you?" Not at all.
"Ready to do one more?" Of course. I'm psyched.
Lining up the clamps, lining up the needle to pierce, deep breath in, out and pierced.
She told me to hop down of the chair, and I could take a look in the mirror.
But that isn't all that happened, I didn't mention a lot of the talking that went one while she was setting up. She made me completely comfortable waiting on her to get ready. By telling stories, talking about various elements of tattoos and piercings, and teaching me about aftercare and how to care for them, I felt completely at ease, especially while she was marking me off because I didn't have a shirt on.
She told me to wash them 3 times a day, with clean hands, with dial soap, not scented and to make sure that the soap was completely washed away afterwards. Also to soak in 4 parts luke warm water mixed with 1 part non-iodized salt. She also recommended her H2OCEAN spray that the shop sold. To just spray that one when I was done cleaning them to help healing. I was also not to use an neosporin, peroxide, alcohol or anything like that as it is very bad and dries them out or keeps oxygen away from the hole and makes healing longer. Everything she told me was also on an aftercare sheet in case I forgot. She also told me to make sure I kept them nice and snug, even while I slept because they would hurt less. It wasn't that much of a problem since I don't exactly have the largest breasts ever.
It has been a week so far, and there was hardly any bleeding, past the first day or two. Both piercings were hardly sore at all, it only hurt a bit when I'd take my shirt off and they'd get caught.
I can't wait for them to heal, and to change the rings to barbells in 7-11 weeks! (the time is 8-12 and I've already had them for a week) But I love them anyways and Ashley did an amazing job! I definitely recommend her to anyone that is in Ashland, if they want anything pierced. Her prices are reasonable, she will make you very comfortable while also being very professional. She is very knowledgeable and will give you a great quality piercing!
