I had wanted to get my nipple pierced for god knows how long, the boyfriend however really hated the idea which did put me off for awhile but in the end I thought it is my body and I can do with it want I please.

After walking around for a bit, we met up with my friend, Immi and her boyfriend and went for a drink, she then gave me my belated xmas present, a thirty pound gift voucher for Blue banana. Great that meant I had even more money left for shopping!
So me, Dan, Immi and her boyfriend, headed off to Blue banana, I told them what I wanted (left nipple, if anyone was wondering), showed them my ID, filled in all the forms and waited while she (the piercer) set all the stuff up.
As I waited I was getting quite nervous and felt a bit sick, I had eaten only an hour before but suddenly felt very hungry! I already had 13 piercings so I knew what to expect and that it never hurts as much as you think it will but even so that never stops me from getting nervous each time!
The time came and I went in and sat on the chair, Immi came in with me to hold my hand (she has been with me for three of my piercings and it is kind of a tradition that whenever I get pierced in Plymouth for her to come with me and hold my hand), Dan didn't want to come in with me though, as I have already said, he didn't relish in the idea of me getting it done!
She asked me to lift my top and bra up, marked it and clamped it, I did think it was quite odd that she didn't ask me to check to see if I was happy with the placement though, and then she pierced it. I felt the needle to through but it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, and there I was getting ready to give Immis hand a huge squeeze and yell out a long line of swear words in pain but that never happened, though I think I did wince a bit.
It all the excitement of getting a new piercing, I become forgetful and everything said to me goes in one ear and out the other, so it's a good job I'm no newbie to piercings!
It was all over with in what seemed like a few seconds.
I had told Dan to look around the shop while I was getting it done but no sooner had I said that I was back out again!
When I finally got back home and told my mum about it, she winced and said "Ewww, why would you want that done!" mothers eye? I can't wait to see the horrified look on my dads face when I tell him! like nearly all parents I have heard about, he does not understand body mods at all and can't see why anyone would want to do that to themselves.
Three days on and I am really happy with my new piercing, it looks pretty much straight and Dan is even coming around to liking it! I told him he would!
The healing process is going really well, sea salt socks twice a day and a nice long hot shower every night to get any crusties off, It's a pain having to wear a bra to bed though, but I am getting used to it now.
I have heard healing a nipple piercing can be a real pain but not for me it seems, even after getting it done it was only sore for about five minutes, the only other times it gets sore it when my dog sees it and makes a grab for it, she likes pretty shinny things!
I would definitely recommend anyone who wants their nipple/s pierced to just swallow the nerves and get it done! Pain lasts but only a few seconds and it is so worth it!
I would also recommend Blue banana, the staff there are really great and very friendly and the studio is all what you would expect a good studio to be, all clean and sparkly looking! (And they also sell lots of cool stuff in their shop!)
