Let me start out by saying that I don't have many "exotic" piercings, like a lot of people on BME that I have seen pictures of, or read the experiences of have. I have 4 standard lobe piercings and an industrial in my left ear, and now, two beautiful horizontal 14g CBRs in my nipples.

I have been going through some really difficult things lately emotionally, and I needed something that I could get some pleasure out of that was a part of me, something that would make me feel sexy. I gave this a lot of thought and decided that rather than getting another ear piercing or facial piercing, I would get my nipples pierced. This was because my nipples aren't things that are seen by others in the same way that a facial or ear piercing would be; it would be private. This would mean more to me in the long run, because it would be something that I got to enjoy, without anyone else having to know about it.

I did some local research to find a shop that I could trust, and after asking around, and getting a very strong recommendation from a very heavily modded neighbor of mine, I decided to go to The English Rose Tattoo Studio, in a nearby town. I went a few days in advance to check it out, and it appeared positively spotless. After meeting my piercer-to-be, Dave, I asked him about prices and procedure, and I decided to come back that upcoming Friday to have my nipples pierced. I tried to make an appointment, but they work on a first-come, first-serve basis. So instead of making an appointment with them, I made a date with a friend of mine to go together for mutual emotional support, as she was going to get her lower belly button pierced to match her upper belly button piercing.

We arrived at the shop around lunch time on Friday, and remarkably, in a normally very busy shop, we were the only ones there. When we walked in, a friendly woman asked what we were intending on getting, and when we told her what, she went to get Dava and brought him out to pierce us.

My friend went first, and because at that shop they only do private piercings and don't allow friends or even family members in the room while the procedure is going on, I sat in the waiting room, getting last-minute nerves; my stomach was in knots over the pain that I was anticipating, and rightly so! At least I got an early adrenaline rush, which set in and helped numb my senses by the time that I actually had to go back in that room to get my nipples pierced.

When I went back, he was wiping everything down and cleaning everything, and he had a couple fresh packaged needles and fresh packaged clamps laying on the counter. He began by asking me about what exactly I wanted, and what I wanted to be pierced with. I initially wanted barbells, but when I explained that I was going for invisibility through a shirt, he suggested CBR's because they would lay flatter and be less visible through a bra or shirt, and easier to clean than barbells.

He asked me to take my bra and shirt for access to my nipples, which he then cleaned thoroughly, and then marked and checked for symmetry. I then lay back on the table, and as he was bringing everything over, the nerves were really starting to get to me, and I was starting to feel a little jittery and shaky. When he put the clamp on my right nipple, it really hit me that I was getting this done, and I started feeling really happy, and reminded myself that the rewards (both emotional and physical) would greatly outweigh the pain that I will feel for a few seconds as I was going through this.

That brief euphoria though was changed very quickly to pain, but then in a moment of inspiration, I thought really happy sex thoughts, and the bad pain promptly turned to good pain! But that was only for a second, because I quickly realized that damn, did this hurt like a bitch!! At this point, I was on the verge of just mentally phasing myself out completely, because this was truly the most painful thing that I have experienced to date, and probably will keep the title for at least a few more years to come.

As he put in the jewelry, I could feel every layer of flesh that it went through, and that was almost as bad as the piercing itself, but luckily I had been numbed by adrenaline by then. He clamped the ring together, then explained aftercare procedure to me, and gave me a leaflet with contact numbers if I had questions, and more instructions about cleaning.

I pulled my bra and shirt back on, putting a bit of dressing in my bra in case I bled at all (I did a bit), and hobbled out of the back room, to meet my friend in the waiting room. We both hobbled out of the shop, and hobbled down the street, and then hobbled our way to McDonalds for some much needed food.

It has been almost a week since this happened, and since then I have had much success with my piercings, and they have stayed very comfortable since about a day afterwards. There was some bleeding for the first day, then when I cleaned them after my sea-salt soaks (twice daily), but no bleeding at all after the third day. I can even sleep on them without feeling pain, in a bra of course. There have been virtually no crusties, absolutely no bruising, and no visible swelling. The only downsides are that I now go 24-7 with a bra on; with good reason, given the circumstances, but it gets uncomfortable. Also, my shower loofah has become my worst enemy. Jewelry snags are terrifying!

I would very strongly recommend going through with nipple piercing to anyone who is interested in it. It has been a great experience for me so far, and has helped me to feel happier with myself, and more confident. The piercing itself went great, healing has gone swimmingly, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope that it can help you out if you're interested in nipple piercing. Good luck with it!
