I'll start out by saying that I'm no virgin to body art. I currently have 10 piercings and two tattoos, but a few weeks ago I decided that maybe that wasn't quite enough. Every so often it just seems like its time to get some new art, then comes the hard part of deciding what I might want. This time I decided that I wanted a new piercing. I really like my tattoos, but I'm on hold on getting more for the time being. Anyhow, I brought it up to my fiance and told him that I wanted to get something new, I told him he could pick the place (nipple, eyebrow or tongue) and he said that out of the piercings I was interested in, his vote was for getting my nipple done. Well actually he said to do both, but I didn't think that was such a great idea.

I had a bad experience a few years back with a cartilage piercing and so even though my recent ones have gone just fine, I always have that in the back of my mind.

I didn't know anyone with a nipple piercing, so I didn't have anyone to talk to about the experience. That's usually my first step to getting a new piercing or tattoo. So after a lot of reading (thank you BME and all of the people who tell the good bad and the ugly) I decided to just go and do it. It was Sunday afternoon and my fiancé and I were bored anyhow...so what better way to spend the afternoon than to poke another hole in my body.

I've gone to Out A Line Ink before and had them do a tattoo on my foot and my traigus piercing. Both times I was more than pleased and I recommend them to everyone. The shop is really clean and all of the artists there are very professional and I've enjoyed my past experiences.

So we got there and Mark (my piercer) was so nice and so soothing to talk to. He set up and took me back to the piercing room. We chatted a bit about what I did for a living and how he got into his work. I always have thought that doing tattoos would be a fun job so I like to hear about how people get into that field. But finally it was time to get to work. Mark was very professional, he made sure I wasn't exposed to the rest of the shop, which is nice when you have your breasts hanging out.

First he had me take off my shirt and cleaned the area (this was the weird part...I don't usually show my breasts off to people I don't know.) Then he marked them and had me check it. Finally I was getting a little nervous. I know, it's weird, but I kind of like that feeling and up unto this point I hadn't had even a little butterfly in my stomach. He told me to lay down and he put the clamp on. It was cold, but that was about it, I really didn't feel any pain with it. Then he told me to breath in out and in and ouch??? That was it??? I had read so many awful horror stories and have had a couple of realy painful piercing prior that I expected some horrible pain. But just a little pinch. Like a titty twister. The jewelry slid right in, even less painful than the needle. Then I had him call my fiancé back to check it out, he was obviously pleased with my cute little adornment. Then Mark covered it with a band-aid I put my shirt back on, thanked him and off I went.

That night it was a little sore, but just kind of bruised feeling no sharp pain, no swelling nothing. However we did go out to walk the dog, and I don't recommend running or jogging right after you get your nipple pierced that part does hurt a good deal.

Now I've had the piercing almost 24 hours and it's doing great. Mark told me that Band-aids would be my best friend for the next few days and boy was he right! It really helps to put one on and not have to worry about it getting caught on anything. Also it helps to have a nice sports bra to sleep in.

I really like my piercing and I'm glad that I got it. I recommend to anyone who is considering a nipple piercing, go and do it. Also I highly recommend Mark and Out A Line Ink.

Oh and by the way, my fiancé is sure he made the right choice, this is a great little sexy secret of ours now.
