For some reason and for a few years now I have been really fascinated with the thought of having pierced nipples. Maybe it was due to friends describing how wonderful theirs were or simply that the look of them on other people was really erotic, either way I decided then and there that I wanted in on the action.....one day!
At A Glance Author Jet Contact Jet@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Carl Studio Bodz Location Liverpool I put it off and put it off, each time with an excuse - I'm playing too much sport at the moment or what if I meet a really nice man and he freaks when I take my shirt off or most importantly of all: I'm absolutely terrified of needles! At 17 I had my mum come with me to get a meningitis jab! The outlook for my nipples wasn't good!
About a year ago now I met a wonderful man and started a steady relationship. Soon enough I plucked up the courage to talk it through with him. He liked the idea and even suggested that he should get his pierced too!
Excellent but I'm still a big wimp!
"I'll get them done for your birthday" I said to him, but of course that passed I was too busy or something. Instead I continued to read experiences on bmezine and do other research into the procedure and aftercare. One conclusion I came to was that everybody's experience is different; some claimed it was the worst pain ever others tell of how painless it was, so again my mind worked over time wondering how it would be for me.
So one day, just 4 days ago, I woke up and decided on the spot that today would be the day. I decided that I wasn't going to tell anyone as I reckoned any questions and people asking if I was nervous would only get me thinking about it too much and this would start me worrying! As part of my research I had located the Bodz Piercing Clinic in Liverpool and what I had read and heard about them sounded really good and their website had really gone in-depth about hygiene, the procedure, the special PMFK biocompatible jewelry they use, aftercare and also a big section of FAQ's to answer other questions about preparation for the piercing etc.
As I was sitting on the bus I sat concentrating on my mp3 player which worked in taking my mind off of what was up ahead. When I finally got into town I went straight to Bodz to make an appointment. They could fit me in in half an hour which was perfect as again this didn't really give me time to start worrying! Soon enough I was given the forms to sign and taken into the studio for Shirley to measure me up. Strangely enough I wasn't at all nervous about getting undressed as everyone at the studio was great at putting me at ease. Measuring done Shirley showed me the selection of jewelry available but I decided just to go with standard barbells with silver beads. Once this was decided I entered the studio once again and Carl prepared my nipples for the piercing. When I was marked and ready to go I laid back on the bench while Carl practiced the breathing techniques with me. Deep breath in, exhale quickly, Long breath in, long breath out, Deep breath in, exhale quickly and click the first piercing was done. "Was that it?" I asked Shirley. She laughed and nodded her head quite surprised as this was my first ever piercing! I don't even have my ears done!
Same again for the other nipple deep breath in, exhale quickly and ping, it was done! This one was slightly more uncomfortable as Carl had told me to expect, but hardly at all.
It was only after the dressings were applied that my head started to feel funny and I had to lie down, I guess it was just disbelief at what I had done! A lollipop to boost my sugar levels was enough to fix that and soon enough I was dressed and sat outside the studio chatting about the aftercare procedures.
It really was that easy; my other half loves my new editions and is excited about getting his done in the next few weeks.
I have had almost no discomfort from my nipples since they were pierced and I removed the dressings this morning to soak the piercings in salt water as instructed, they look great!
Carl and Shirley at Bodz were amazing. They really didn't give me the opportunity for my nerves to build as they were so friendly and chatty, explaining everything to me clearly and truthfully. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get a piercing.
They even provide a free check up after 4 weeks to make sure everything is going ok and hopefully everything will be!
My advice to anyone reading this who wants to get a nipple piercing is just do it!
