I can honestly admit I have not been "into" piercings for a long time. My parents were dead set against them and if I received any, I wanted them to be done correctly. So my first year of university I went a little crazy and eventually ended up with both nipples pierced, done at two different times, six months apart. I also have my navel, hood, labia, and various ear piercings, as well as my nose. My eye brow rejected sadly enough.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When Six months ago Artist Dude Studio Karas Location Halifax One of friends had gotten her nipples pierced when she was 16. At first I thought it was stupid and gross but soon they grew on me and I wanted a pair. My nipple was my second piercing, and after you get your nipple pierced, other piercings don't seem to be that bad. So within six months I had both done.
However, last year while I was changing for a party, one of my rings got caught on my shirt and ripped about half way out. One reason as to why barbells are safer didn't even notice that my ring was ripped out till there was blood on my arm. I felt a sharp pain but it never occurred to be that my ring was hanging out of me .I thought it would be ok so I put a band aid on it and went to the party.
However, my nipple, the left one, just got more painful as the week went by. It hurt to wear my bra or move really but I kept hoping it would heal back up. But it soon became clear that wasn't going to happen. I lied to myself for awhile but I sadly removed it. I felt so lost and uneven without it, but working for min. wage and having other expenses, like rent, left me a little short on cash.
A few weeks after I removed it I was downtown with my boyfriend and one of his friends, and randomly decided to get my nipple redone. It had had a couple weeks to heal and I had a little cash saved so off to Kara's we went. Luckily they always seem to have availabilities so I only had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes
But of course my boyfriend and his friend both refused to come with to get my nipple pierced. My boyfriend doesn't like my piercings and his friend thought it would be bad taste to watch his best friends girlfriend get her nipple pierced. So alone I went. Luckily it was my 15th or so piercing so I knew what to expect. I was lead to a room upstairs, clean and sterile I might add. I sat in the chair and took off my top and pulled down my bra. Once the piercer noticed I had my other nipple pierced as well, he got a different larger ring to match my other ring. I had brought my previous ring with me, but he just reused the ball off of it. They are ornate balls.
So, he had me stand up, he marked my nipple and I sat down and waited. I read a lot of experiences where piercers have you lie down for nipple piercings but all three times I had mine done, I sat up. He clamped my nipple, which kinda hurt but not too bad and then proceeded to pierce me, which took a few minutes since I kept flinching. And ow. I can say piercing my nipples hurt the most, right under my nose. And it seems to take longer than other piercings. He put in the new ring, put on the ball and gave me a spray of H2O ocean. I than got dressed and paid my 45$.
Of course the smart thing to do right after a fresh piercing is to go downtown and get completely smashed, which I did with no harm to the piercing. I was sore for a few days but was still able to wear my bra and go to work. I've had it re pierced for probably 6 months and the right one has been pierced for almost 2 years now. They are beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone. The only way you can tell my nipple had been pierced before, is a little bit of scar tissue on the left hand side.
My only issue is that my left one is now pierced deeper than my right one. I personally think my right one is pierced too shallow but where it healed fine, I don;t see the purpose to redo it. Also when I compare pictures of my right one when it was first done and it now, I can notice that the CBR is much too small in diameter. While rings can heal on big breasted women( I'm a DD), make sure the diameter of the ring is big enough and that you don't get it caught on your clothing!
