A year ago, my friend and I were talking about what piercings we would and wouldnt get and the first one she mentioned was a nipple ring. I was surprised she wanted that done, because that was the piercing I wanted done too. Well because where we live, a really small town noone has nipple rings everyone has belly piercings and tounge rings, and we wanted something not very many people have, but we were only 17 at the time and didnt turn 18 for another year. So we decided in a year, on my birthday Dec 13th we would get it done ,since she was 18 a couple months before me in Oct.

Location Champaign, IL So, now for the lasts few weeks, We both still wanted it done really badly and we've been planning on when and where to get pierced at, and calling around getting prices. :) We, decided on Altered Egos in Champaign IL, since one of our friends had gotten her tounge pierced from there and recomended it. We were planning on going Thurs. but we randomly decided to do it today (tues.) since it'd be the actual day of my b-day and we didnt want to wait anymore.
Since my friend had to go to work at 3, we left at around 10 for the 45 min. drive to Champaign and we went to Altered Egos as soon as it opened at around 12:00 so we wouldnt have to wait very long and it wouldnt be very busy. As soon as we got there I was so scared, I have a low pain tolerence, so I was looking forward to going first and getting it done and over with. When we walked in we were the only ones in line except a guy getting a tattoo so we got to go first, yay. They asked us what they could do for us, and we told them nipple piercing. They gave us a form to fill out, we did and had to wait a minute while he went and got everything ready and while we were waiting I noticed the piercing license on the wall, and a couple certificates that they got for best piercing studio. That put me at ease a little bit,and then Jay asked us to follow him to the back room, which was very little, but it looked really clean and he closed the door behind him. Since its my birthday my friend let me go first :) and he had me sit down on the 'dentist chair'. I was so nervous by this time, I was almost shaking. He put on clean gloves, then Jay told me to take off my clothes from the waist up and he told me to put my arms straight to my side. He was asking me questions about where I worked, lived, etc. trying to get my mind off of it, and because he knew I was so nervous, while he then cleaned the area and marked where he was going to pierce it. Asked me if it looked okay, which it did and then he clamped my nipple. I was holding on to my friends' hand really tightly and closed my eyes, and He told me to breathe in and when I did he pierced it really fast, and it was over. It wasnt too bad, it hurt for the second the needle went in then it was over. I told my friend it kinda hurt and it wasnt so bad, but I didnt want to go through it again. Which of course i did, and it was the same with the second one, he told me to breathe in...then pierced it, OW, I yelled, but over again really quickly. The second one does hurt alot more, "\Ãw°ìE but I was expecting it too. Then he just screwed on the balls ( I got pierced with a ring, 14 gauge) and it was over. He gave me tissuse to put on it, in case it bled, and something to clean them with in an hour, then I was supposed to clean it three times a day with dial soap. Then my friend got hers done and we paid, the cost was $50 for both, and left.
I love my piercing!, its my favorite one so far!! And Jay, was a really good piercer, I felt really comfortable taking off my shirt in front of him, he was very proffesional. So far my nipples are just a little sore but nothing bad at all. And the whole piercing itself only lasts 5-10 minutes. So if anyones afraid of getting them pierced, because of the pain factor, it only hurts for the second the needle goes through then its over. And its nothing that bad. Anyone can handle any kind of pain for a couple sconds. You'll be so happy you did it when its over! :)
