My Nipple Piercing

I have just had my nipple pierced and it was a fantastic experience. I am not entirely happy with my piercings and how they look at this moment in time as they are rather far back than I would have liked but they are also rather swelled so maybe they will look better once the swelling is down (fingers crossed)

My Experience

I have been desperate for a nipple piercing for about a year now as I have many other mods but am very self conscious of my body and my breasts especially. I wanted something to make them look better and make me appreciate them more. After much searching on BMEzine and various other sources of information, I decided on one nipple piercing.
I spoke to my boyfriend about this and he was very supportive, although made me realise that I would look lop-sided ( his way of describing it, hes so crude) with just the one and offered to buy me them both for my birthday that was nearing, that also solved his problem of what to buy me. As the time got nearer we visited The Comedian Tattoo parlour a few times for various piercings and I decided that Jim would be the one doing my piercings, not least because he had done most of my other piercings but I trusted him. Once my boyfriend found this out he still supported me, but spent the next few months trying to change my mind as he was jealous because a guy would be piercing me.

Anyway, the day came to have my piercings, my birthday, and I called the Comedian to find out if Jim was in as he was at a Tattoo/Piercing convention that weekend (my birthday was a Monday this year). As it turned out, I didn't get my piercings that day because Jim still wasn't back. I was really annoyed.
Anyway, it was a couple of weeks before I had any time to go and get them done, so after checking that Jim was in the shop that day, I got myself ready and headed to go shopping, I wanted to get the shopping out of the way first incase my nipples were very sore after I got them pierced.
At around 4:30, me and my boyfriend made our way to the piercing studio. When we got there, we had to wait until Jim finished off a tattoo. We eventually made our way into the piercing room at 5:30 and Jim closed the door. Since we had already decided that I was going to get bars put in instead of hoops he had them sitting out, he also unpacked the needles and cleaning wipes while we were in. As Jim was doing all that, I filled out the form and signed it. All too soon, it was time to get pierced, I wasn't worried about the piercing in particular, even though I had read on various sites that it was such a sore piercing and you couldn't do this, that and the next after it was done, I was more worried about getting my breasts out infront of an (nearly) entire stranger!
As I sat, I voiced my fears about this but Jim made me feel completely at ease, and said that I didn't need to take my top and bra off I could just slide the straps down if that made me feel comfier, so that what I did. He also joked around, telling us about his genital piercing experience( he tried to pierce himself and it didn't go quite as planned, ha ha funny story). When I felt ready we proceeded with my piercing, he didn't use clamps as he said that they really hurt, more than the piercing so I trusted him and was told to look to my left, sit up straight and he'd count me in. 3-2-1... Pressure...mild discomfort(which I later discovered was the jewellery being put through) and that was it! Easy as that, I was sitting during all the pressure, thinking when is the pain going to come, but there was none. I was so surprised. Even tho there was very little pain, I still needed time to gather myself together, so Jim bandaged my newly-pierced nipple and I slid my top and bra back on (phew) and we just sat and chatted for a few minutes.

Then it was time for the second one. I was really dreading this as I had read that the second one hurt considerably more than the first. So I again took my arm out of my sleeve and bra strap, feeling very self-conscious again. This time Jim had me look to the right and he counted me in again, 3-2-1...more pressure...Jim said "There you go" I didn't even feel the jewellery being put through this time. I was so shocked that neither of them hurt.

Jim bandaged me, I re-clothed myself and thanked him profusely, then went out to the front of the shop to pay him. As they were for my birthday and he wasn't in when I first tried to go down Jim gave me them both for £30, I nearly passed out with the shock, It was so cheap! I tried to give him a £10 tip (i'm a poor student) but he wasn't having any of it. I eventually got him to accept a fiver tip, so I walked out the shop floating on air and £15 better off than I thought I would be, even with a tip. I walked to the bus stop and it was rather chilly, usually i'm not aware of my nipples but because they were newly pierced I felt it everytime they went stiff because of the cold, it HURT!!! once I was on the bus on the way home I was fine.

When I got in the house I took the bandage off, the right one had bled right through to my white bra, but the left one was pretty disappointing, no blood at all.

Healing has been pretty un-eventful, I'm still getting crusties but apparently nipple piercings take forever to heal, and I have been cleaning them with saline solution and that has helped. Apart from slight crustiness nothing has happened that is worth reporting
