So normally you go get a piercing and love the experience so much that eventually, you get more. Well that is what happened to me.

At 14 yrs. old like all the other teenagers at the time, I got my belly button pierced, at 17 I got my nose and tongue pierced, I took out my tongue piercing but missed it so much that I got it again at 18. I got a tattoo a month after having my son but as usual, a couple months later, had the craving for some more pain.

My friend and I were talking on AIM for a couple weeks contemplating getting our nipples pierced. She already had her tongue pierced and a tattoo but she still was a bit scared about the pain. We went back and forth for days...to be pierced or not to be pierced. I was the one who pretty much told her we were going and getting pierced and I'd go first so she could watch and decide later if she wanted to go through with it.

So the night before we were to be pierced, we talked and talked about how it would look and how much it would hurt and how nervous we were and how much it would cost and if we wanted one nipple or both etc. I called up a few studios to check on prices of single nipple piercings and doubles. Being a mom right now, I'm low on cash and my friend being a college student, she was low on cash as well. I know it's not good to pick a studio because of prices but all the studios I called, either me or my friend had work done there so it was all good.

I decided to get pierced at Bridgeville Tattoo because they offered both nipples for $50 dollars which I thought was really good. I got my tattoo and tongue pierced there so I trusted that place. I talked it over with my friend and she agreed with the price and driving there since I don't have a car. The piercing date was set...

We parked, walked to the studio, went in the door and was greeted by a young girl. I told her I wanted my nipples pierced but not yet haha. My friend and I looked around at the portfolios and flash on the walls...lets just say, my friend was trying to put off getting pierced for a bit. After a couple minutes looking around, the piercer-Garrick came out of his room and asked what we needed. I told him I wanted my nipples pierced. He went back to his room and got everything ready. I asked my friend to come with me so she could see the procedure and decide whether or not she wanted to be pierced as well.

So there I was, in the piercing room, my friend and sleeping baby sitting on the couch. Garrick closed the curtain, asked what color beads I wanted on the rings (I picked light blue), and told me to take my shirt off. I was a bit self-conscious of my boobs because after having a baby, they were stretch marked and saggy but at the same time, was used to being "naked"...I had a baby of course. Garrick put iodine on my nipples and marked the horizontal enter/exit dots. He took everything outta the bags, put the clamps on which smashed my already hard nipples in place, so that kinda hurt, and stuck the lubricated needle through. You can't say it doesn't hurt because a needle is going through your sensitive hard nipple but mine actually felt good in a hurtful way...did that make sense? It was like the nerve endings shot a tingle through my whole body when the needle went through. It was such a good feeling I would seriously do it all over again. He left the needle in and put the clamps on the other nipple, put the needle through, and I was pierced...but not completely. He slid the needle through followed by the rings in on both piercings. I put a tank top with built in bra on and Garrick explained aftercare. He was very professional through the whole thing and I really recommend him if your in the Bridgeville area.

I paid $50 dollars plus tip and my friend decided she didn't want to be pierced but later that day we went to a different studio so she could get a tattoo because she still had a craving for pain but not a nipply pain.

To tell you the truth, my nipples were sore for about three days and that's all. They bled and crusted for maybe a week but I cleaned them everyday in the shower with iodine and water and they've been great ever since (crusting every now and then). I changed the rings to barbells after a month because the rings kept flipping up and wouldn't stay down...that hurt. I didn't wear a bra the first week because it irritated the new piercings. I'm sure a sports bra would have done the trick though. My fiancé was a bit mad I spent money on something I didn't need but he likes my pierced nipples now haha.

So, if you want your nipples pierced, go for it. I've heard that healing time is long but I'm sure that depends on your body. Good luck if you decide to get pierced!
