Hey, my name is Jette and I'm 16 years old. I got my right nipple pierced horizontally the 27 of March. I really wanted the piercing, but I knew that my parents wouldn't approve it. So I made a stupid choice and decided to do it myself. Even though it has worked for me, I strongly suggest to get it done by a professional. It can go terribly wrong.

I've done my; nostril, lip, inverse navel, my tongue, inner conch, outer conch, upper helix, 1 tragus, anti-tragus, snug, rook, anti-helix, septum, vertical inner wrist surface piercing, surface hand web and nipple piercing myself.
It all started one day I was looking at pictures on bmezine, and I found the nipple section. My cousin had just got her nipple pierced (by a professional), so I was very interested in the nipple piercing. I decided that I wanted it too, but my parents would NEVER aloud me to get one. So one day when my friend Patrick should come and visit me, I asked him to do my nipple piercing for me. And he said yes. (I knew that it would be pretty painful, so I decided that I couldn't do it myself).
Since he said yes, I read a lot on the internet about self done nipple piercings on BME. I also asked my friends about it, and they definitely didn't like it. Some of them screamed at me and said that I was stupid and that they hoped something went wrong. But I didn't care, I wanted it so badly.
One day after school I bought a 18 gauge needle I know it was a very small size, but it was the biggest size I could buy in my town. I already had a 16 gauge straight barbell ½ inch long, from my eyebrow piercing that I've got professionally done. I know it was a stupid idea to reuse the barbell, but I couldn't afford to a new one.
Finally Patrick came to visit me and we walked into my room and locked the door. But when we were sitting there and I gave him the needle, he suddenly told me that he couldn't do it. I accepted it, but I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that he couldn't do it. So when he went home, I decided to try to do it myself. Cause I wanted it NOW..
I decided to pierce my right nipple. So I made 2 dots marking the entrance and exit of where I wanted to push the needle through. I took the needle out of its packet, placed it on the right side hole, and began to push the needle through. I felt a sharp pain, and I began to breath in and out. And every time I breathed out, I pushed the needle further and further. Finally after 15 minutes I could see the point of the needle poking out on the other side, and with a final push, it was through. I couldn't move the needle, so I decided to let the needle stay in until it had loosened a bit.
The next day I decided to replace the needle with the barbell. It was still not easy to move, but with a little bit of Vaseline I could finally move the needle easy. So I took out the needle and tried to put in the barbell, but it didn't work for me. So after 5 or 10 minutes I stopped pushing and gave up. I was very sad because that I couldn't put in the barbell, and was going to lose my piercing. But then I remembered that I had a 18 gauge cbr in my lip, so I took the ring out of my lip and tried to put it in my nipple. (Yes, without cleaning it first, DON'T DO IT) The cbr went surprisingly easy in, and I was very happy..! I washed it with a sea salt soak and went to bed.
3 days later (the 30 of March), I decided to try again to put in the barbell. I cleaned the barbell and my nipple with Peroxide, and took a deep breath to control my nerves. I was really nervous because that it haven't worked for me 3 day's ago. I took out the cbr, and placed the barbell on the right side hole and began to push it through. It went easy in this time and I nearly didn't feel any pain at all. Only a little sting if I pushed it too fast or too hard. I was so exited.
Some of the people at school think it's cool that I actually did it, but some of them still screams how stupid I was when I tell them. O well, it's their problem. And NOT mine..

The 2 of November:
I've now got the piercing for over 7 month now and it is perfectly heeled. It is the best thing I've ever done. It has been doing fine, and there haven't been any problems through the heeling at all. Not even when it was 2 weeks old and my boyfriend couldn't keep away from it any more and licked it and kissed it.But you're more than welcome to e-mail me if you got any questions or something you want to tell me or say to me..
