The conversation got onto my ears and how I never wear my earrings. I then said 'no, but I do where my nipple bars.'
Obviously, I didn't have them done then so when I found out that she had started telling everybody that I had them done, I thought,
'Oh dear. I'm going to have to get them both pierced and do it as quick as I can' The next night I went into the studio. I didn't want people at school to think I was a liar so I knew that I couldn't chicken out.
I was very nervous when I went in, because it is a sun bed shop with a seperate part for piercings and there was loads of people waiting for a sun bed and I had to go to the counter and ask if Heather was in so I could have both of my nipples pierced! I think the cost was absolutely fantastic for the amount of stuff she did! It only cost £15 for each nipple and it was an extra £2.95 for the anti-bacterial spray.
The woman (heather) was great. She relaxed me and advised just to get one done at a time. I agreed with her (reluctantly and dissappointed) and got my right nipple pierced. A week later I went and got my left nipple pierced.
She sat me down on the bed upright. I was shaking pretty bad so she tried to calm me down. Heather checked to make sure that I had eaten before and that I didn't have any alcohol in my system. (She advised me that if i did have any alcohol then the piercing would bleed more) She marked with a purple pen where the holes would be. They were nice and straight so she proceeded with the piercing. She put the clamp on and then used this spray to numb the nipple. She advised me that she can't spray it for more than 5 seconds because it freezes the nipple and the breast so if she sprayed it for longer, I would end up with frost bite!
Never mind, she sprayed it on and everything went numb. Then the next step was the needle. When I first saw the needle, I started panicking as I have a big phobia of needles. She pierced it and I didn't feel anything then when she took the needle out to feed the bar through, it was a tingling sensation. When she screwed the ball on the end of the bar, I thought my breast went down to the floor as it was that numb! Now I had them both done.
Heather was great as the last thing she said to me after she had done the piercings was
'feel free to come back and see me anytime you want and I'll check them to make sure they're ok.'
I thought this was great as I had someone I could talk to about them and ask their professional advise about if they were healing ok and if they looked alright. The healing process went fine for the first few weeks.
Then over a few nights, the left nipple started hurting and becoming itchy and weeping a lot. I went to see what she said about it and she advised me to go to the doctors as I had an infection. I went to see the doctor and he told me to take it out as it would just end up getting worse. He gave me some anti-biotics. I was gutted but I knew it was for the best (especially for my health) I took it out 2 months ago. Now I really want it done again. I have been back to see Heather and she has said she will do it but it will really hurt as there will be scar tissue there now and the needle will have to go through that as well as the skin. (OUCH!) I decided not to get it done again.
Through all of this, my parents did not have a clue about my piercings. They wont even let me have my belly button pierced so I was very scared incase they ever found out about my nipples. I didn't have to worry about this though as they found out a month ago as my mam found some anti-bacterial spray in my bedroom when she was hoovering. This caused a big argument but she's ok with it now and has given me some money to buy some bars/shields with. (What a turn around!) I think it looks great and everyone likes it. I am not shy about showing it to people no matter where I am, I lift my top and show people, both male and females like to see it. Although the men seem to want to see it more than once! I don't mind talking about it and I am certainly not embarrassed about it. I have 2 jobs on the go now and everybody knows about my piercings at both jobs.
So my next step is to persuade my mam to let me get my belly button pierced. (It's going to be a long battle!)
