Well, this is my experience yet I don't know how to begin. I started my body modification over 7 years ago. I started with a small tattoo of a bleeding black rose on my left shoulder, progressed to a piercing on my navel, then another tattoo... this time a pretty huge ass sweet thing on my lower back; a black rose on my lower spine with black tribal art spreading from the left and right to my hips. Then again a piercing... this time my tongue. Then I took a small hiatus... of three years.

I just got another tattoo on my back, a red rose with black tribal art on my right shoulder and touched up my first tattoo. Then oilla... I finally got my first crazy piercing... not one, but both nipples. Wow. I have wanted this for such a long time and man... why did I wait. It was so awesome. I looked up all sorts of sites on line this weekend checking things out and looking for the "serious" risks and any possible complications. I couldn't find any that were worthwhile. So today I woke up and was like, "today, I'm gonna pierce my nipples" No one could stop me or say, sorry no can do... I was determined to do it. I called the place I wanted to do it at and they told me it would be $30 for one or $50 for both. I'm a bargain hunter so no one had to twist my arm to tell me it would be in my best interests to do both... I mean come on... eventually I'd do both right? So I drove over to the West Side of El Paso, picked up my best friend... in case I needed a driver afterward (I tend to get light headed after any piercing.. I learned after my navel piercing in Georgia) and proceeded to Flesh Tones on Mesa. I walked in, sorta apprehensive, cause come on... until now the tongue and navel and a few tattoos were nothing right...So I said "I"thought I wanted to get my nipples pierced" The guy was like "You think so huh?" and I said "no... I know I want to, I'm just nervous." So I filled out the paperwork and waited for them to call me back. The guy was awesome.
I hadn't had a piercing in over five years... yes my tongue piercing was five years ago. So I was talking with him about how I thought it was going to hurt, what I did in El Paso, and this and that and whatever, and he told me just to keep breathing and it would all be ok. So he had me all prepped and ready to go in a few minutes. Then he told me to take a deep breath and I'm all like, "Ok, he wants me to be relaxed." As I exhaled he pierced the first nipple, my right. I was like "ok, a little pain but wow, I have a nipple pierced and damn that wasn't that bad." I felt it tug as he put the ring through the needle and then nothing... Ok so on to the second one. No big thing right? Again, a deep breath and then I felt it start piercing as I exhaled and "Oh, my God that fucking hurt." But it was all over in less than a second. He told me that most people have one hurt more than the other, I guess it's a good thing mine was the second one right? Again, a slight tug and wow, my nipples look so fucking awesome. I looked at them in the mirror, ooohed and aahed and put my shirt back on. As he explained to me the Do's and Don't of piercings, similar to my navel piercing I all of a sudden felt a little faint headed. He made me sit down and feel like a child for about five minutes and then I was on my way. Two more piercings in tow.
I feel so much more free now that I've done this and I can't believe I waited so long to get this done. Honestly I think my navel hurt so much more than this... and that one didn't hurt a bit. I encourage everyone to get this done if they think they want to cause you only live once and you'll never know unless you try. This is the best experience of my life and I can only hope for more like this. Trust in your heart and it will tell you the truth. I can tell you that truthfully, cause mine has never led me astray...I've only learned more from it.
