I'm sitting at home and my friend Jackie calls and says "I just got my nipples pierced and I love them already". So I of course asked if they hurt. She replied with "No, not at all". I've always wanted my nipples pierced but I was always afraid of the pain. I hear that the nipples on a girl is the worst piercing to get because of the unbearable pain. I trusted my friend and I figured I would take her word on the pain level and get them pierced. I myself have my lip pierced 4 times, My septum pierced, tongue pierced twice and belly button pierced 3 times, but I was still unsure about the pain of getting my nipples pierced.
I showed up at the tattoo shop and everyone was very friendly, they all made me feel very welcomed to be there. I looked around at their case of body jewelery and a guy named CJ approached me and asked what he could do for me. I told him I was interested in getting my nipples pierced. I informed him that my friend was in earlier this evening to get hers done and loves them already. CJ chuckled with the reply of "Most girls do". He told me some of the side effects that people may come across while getting new piercings. Example: Rejection, which is when your body rejects the piercing, making the barbell and or hoop push forward out of your skin. And Irritation, which different peoples bodies act different to the types of jewelery they use.
CJ told me that everything would be okay and I would love them in the end. I felt really comfortable talking to him because he has been piercing for quite a while now and he knows what he is doing. He was really nice to me and I felt that I could trust him. He handed me the paperwork and said "sign you life away" in a funny tone of voice. I wasn't so scared by that because he had a funny smirk on his face. So I filled out the paper and I was ready to go.
He then brought me into the piercing room and had asked everyone in the shop to wait outside. That made me feel more comfortable so I wouldn't have people walking in and seeing me half naked. As I got up on the cold bench I was starting to get goose bumps. I could feel the chills running down my spine. I was thinking about chickening out but I knew I had to get them now or I wouldn't come back. CJ then instructed me to "Get naked". I felt a little uncomfortable the way he said it but I wasn't going to let a little good humor ruin my piercing experience. I took my top off like I was instructed and CJ then asked me if I was ready. I told him I was ready and he asked "Are you sure". I shook my head yes. He proceeded to cleaning my nipples with some cleaning liquid and got his needles out and ready.
No clamps involved in these piercings for me. I found it a little bit surprising that he did not clamp my nipples. He then told me that he does not clamp girls nipples because they are large enough not to and its much easier for him. As he rose the needle to my nipple I felt like I was going to throw up. I was breathing heavily and he said to calm down. He said take a deep breath and in went the needle. I was shocked, No pain! Cj said "How bad was it?" I replied with "I felt nothing". He then did my other nipple and again, no pain. I was very happy.
I was so relieved that no pain was involved. CJ then placed small hoops in my nipples and put the balls on. He then reached behind him and grabbed the mirror. I was in too much shock to look. I asked him politely to put the mirror away and I would look when I got home. I then carefully put my shirt back on. I tipped him and thanked him. He gave me a business card and said to call him if I had any problems or questions.
On my way home my nipples started to hurt a little bit. It was a burning sensation, Almost like they were exposed to too much sun. Like a sunburn I would say, on my nipples. It was strange how they hurt after and not during, but hey I wasn't complaining. I was happy with my new piercings.
I've had them done for about a month now and they are healing just fine. I love them, I would recommend getting them to anyone. I called CJ the other day to tell them they are doing fine and to thank him again for dealing with me and doing a great job.
