Studio H&H tattoo and piercing
I always thought of getting something pierced, but I was never really sure of what to get.My girlfriend at the time thought I'd look hot if I got my nipples pierced, and since my nipples were her second favorite things on me (you can probably guess the first), it all sounded like a good plan. But being the little chicken I am, I never got it done.

Then she left me for someone else, and I was just numb. There are a lot more to this story, but I'm going to try to discuss my pierced nipple, not my broken heart. Any way, five days after she ripped my heart out, I was driving around town with every word she has ever said to me still running through my head. I passed a couple of tattoo and piercing parlors and thought why not. I still don't know how getting myself pierced or tattooed was going to fix anything, but I stopped at a parlor anyway. I talked to the guy there, and decided to get a piercing instead of a tattoo, in case I decided I didn't want it later in life. The guy said that he only does the tattoos, and to come by after six, when the woman (his wife) that does the piercing comes in. That what two hours away, so I drove around town until then.

Six o'clock came, and I was back at the parlor. The woman was there and I talked to her. A mother with her teenage daughter was there deciding if the girl was ready for a tongue piercing. Since they weren't ready, I got to move up in line. I got handed some paperwork and proved I was 18 and not on anything. "So what do you want pierced?" the artist asked me. "My left nipple" I replied. After I said that, everyone else in the room stopped and looked at me. Then the tattoo guy, a 200+ lbs. man with tattoos and just about every facial piercing possible said "Damn, I backed out of that one." That, kind of gave me second thoughts. But I paid the money, took off my shirt and laid down on the chair anyway.

The piercing woman disinfected her hands, put on some gloves and disinfected her gloves. Then she cleaned up my nipple and marked where the needle would go through. While she was getting her piercing kit, another big guy comes through the door (I'm guessing a relative of the tattoo guy). "What is he doing, getting his teeth cleaned?" he said. "Nope, getting a nipple pierced", I said. "Whoa, that's going to hurt like hell." that gave me third thoughts.

"So what gauge do you want?" the woman asked. With everything going on around me, I didn't know what to say. She suggested a 16 gauge captive bead ring, saying it wasn't really big, but not so small that I'd look like a puss. She got the sterilized needle and clamps. I got a fourth set of thoughts when she clamped my nipple, so I closed my eyes and laid my head back. "And just breathe," she said as she started to put the needle through my nipple. Damn that hurt. I felt a tension increase throughout my body as the needle moved onwards. Then I looked up to see the needle completely through my nipple and put my head back down. Then she put the ring through and wiped away the blood. I felt better when it was over. I was told to keep it clean with anti-bacterial soap and neosporene, and to leave it in for a few months. They gave me a business card with and said if I had problems or questions, just stop by again. then they sent me on my way. I went to Wal-mart to buy some soap an d neosporene. It was really sore as i walked across the parking lot. Then this gust of wind blew my shirt against my new piercing, and damn that really hurt. It was also hard to sleep that night too. It eventually got better and doesn't hurt anymore. It's a little more sensitive, but that's about it.

Since then, I've move up to a 14 gauge, and I probably will get another piercing or two later on. Girls I've shown it to really like it, saying I look hot with it. Plus, they always ask questions about it and it's fun to talk about. I really like it, and I am glad I had it done. One piece of advice, try to keep some extra rings or spikes around in case your piercing falls out. I had that happen a few times, and it hurts a little when you try to put a ring through the hole when it is partially closed up.
