First, let it be known that I am in no way promoting or encouraging the process I used to stretch my nipple piercings, it should be noted that it is always best to consult a professional piercer before attempting to do stretch your piercings, or just have your piercer do it for you. However, I felt that I could successfully perform the stretching and although at home procedures work for me, they may not work for you. If not performed properly, damage to your piercing, your health or other negative results can occur.

I was sitting at my computer, of course doing what I usually do at my computer, checking out the BME web site. I was admiring some of the larger gauge nipple piercings and decided that I would like to stretch my nipple piercings to the next size. Besides being aesthetically pleasing, I also wanted to stretch my nipple piercings because of the fact that my 14 gauge piercings no longer excited my nipples. They were still more sensitive than they were without the piercings, however had lost the initial sensations I felt shortly after being pierced, and I truly missed and yearned that feeling that I had lost.
To prepare my equipment that was needed for the stretching, I gathered up a 12 gauge surgical steel taper, 12 gauge surgical steel cbr jewelry and took them to my kitchen to do my normal sterilization technique, of soaking the items in bleach for five minutes, washing them off with anti-bacterial soap and warm water, and then boiling them for fifteen minutes. This method works for me, however it is not something that should replace autoclaving your jewelry, I do not recommend my method, just want to share what works for me personally.
After cleaning up my items, I set up a bit more. I went into my bathroom, and cleaned off the counter with Clorox bleach wipes and then sat my jewelry and taper down on the counter. I then took off my shirt, and cleaned my nipples and the surrounding area with alcohol swabs.
I then took out my right nipple ring, and lubed up the taper with antibacterial soap to help it glide through my nipple without as much force, I slid it through and it was quite pleasant, very little discomfort. It actually went through a lot easier than I had anticipated. I then lubed up the 12 gauge cbr ring with antibacterial soap as well, and it glided through my nipple quite easily! I then performed the same procedure on my left nipple. I found that for some reason my left nipple was a little more stubborn than my right one when it came to gliding the jewelry through the hole, however it did not cause any significant problems.
I then attempted to put on the cbr beads, and I failed at that! I could not seem to get the beads on! I tried for approximately twenty minutes with no luck. So in the end, I ended up with rings in my nipples with no beads!
So, I then decided to take a shower to clean all of the soap off of the rings, and then carefully dried them off and put on a baggy clean t shirt for comfort. I had found that when I had initially had my nipples pierced, that despite the advice of other people, I found that wearing a sports bra, which actually comforts some women and gives them needed support with a fresh piercing, but for me I personally find that the no bra method when possible is what works, at least for me.
Although this stretching experience just happened fairly recently, (i.e. two days ago), so far everything seems to be going just fine as far as aftercare goes. I have been cleaning them with antibacterial soap two times a day, and will do a sea salt soak every now and then during the healing process to aid in the healing! My nipples are a bit tender, and there was a little bit of crusties this morning when I woke up on them, however I found that cleaning the crusties off with warm water and a q-tip was sufficient in cleaning it off.
So far, I am happy with the sensation the new bigger piece of metal is triggering. I enjoy the heightened sensitivity and actually after these seem to be nicely healed, I would like to repeat my stretching experience and stretch my nipples to a ten gauge! However, I will be waiting a while, in order to give my nipples the proper amount of time to rest and heal up nicely!
So, as this experience comes to a ending, I would like to again stress that it is a lot safer to consult a professional piercer to do any stretching for you, however I find that personally, this works for me at home, and therefore with knowledge of the risks and procedures I embark on some of my own piercings and stretching, although I do not recommend that others do it, for it can be dangerous!
