Well, here I am again. It was only 2 months ago that I got my tongue pierced, but yet I still was not satisfied. I think im just a piercing addict! So far having 7 ear piercings and 3 body piercings and a tattoo, I still needed more. Im out of control...not really.

When I had my tongue pierced, it was a complete compulsion to have it that day, no plans, no appointments, just there and then sort of thing. This time I put about 24 hours preparation into it, which is improving slightly. November 19th, I had a leaflet come through my door from the Beauty Box. I thought that they only did make up and manicures etc. I turn the leaflet over and I saw 'Body Piercing by The Beauty Box' and a long price list. I couldn't resist the temptation. I wouldn't hurt just to look...would it? So, knowing myself well enough, I had to look. This year I've been interested in nipple piercing. I couldn't tell you why. So I looked down the list, 'ears', 'nostril', 'navel', "got", "got", "got", I said to myself. Ah ha, nipple. Price £ 26.50. "That's quite cheap!"
A couple of minutes later, after having a cup of tea and enjoying my regular viewing of Brainteaser (I know, I'm Sad), my eye caught the sight of the disregarded leaflet. I had to pick it up again, just for a second look, nothing much. The phone number was staring me in the face. It wouldn't hurt just to ring them and find out a little more about it. No, of course not.
"Hi, I just received your leaflet and I was wondering whether could you tell me more about nipple piercing please?" So the conversation had started, I asked about things like pain, procedure, after care etc. And then the dreaded question, that I can't say no to, got asked.
"Would you like to just book it and see how you feel later? I have a free appointment at 2.45pm tomorrow."
"Ok then. See you tomorrow at 2.45. Bye."
Oh dear. I've done it again. I just can't help myself. Well never mind, I'll just got to the appointment tomorrow and if I don't want it done, then I don't have to. Who was I kidding? Of course I was going to get it done.
At 2.30pm the following day, I was rushing around putting on make up and anything to try to make myself look older, as I'm still only 17. Once I was satisfied, I left my house, a 2 minute walk and I was at the studio. How convenient! I went in, filled out the forms, lied about my age, picked out my barbell, went into the room etc, etc. Now came the awkward part. I had to take off my top and my bra. I hadn't even thought of this. How embarrassing. After the cleaning of my left nipple and little marking dots, I had to lie down onto the beauty bed and wait for the girl to prepare her things for the piercing. This process has become quite familiar to me and I didn't feel as nervous as usual. She kindly showed me the 'never-been-used' needle and turned to get the clamp. I was now very aware of my nakedness and was feeling rather vulnerable about the fact that someone is coming at my half naked body with a needle. Now I was nervous.
She openly admitted that the clamp was going to be uncomfortable but then she would apply the freezing spray, which should help a little. At this point I just looked away. I was actually distracted by the picture on the wall opposite of Christina Aguilera and her facial piercings. Why did she choose to put that vile picture up of Christina?
"All done!"
"What? Is it done already?"
"Yep"
Whilst studying the picture of Christina Aguilera, I felt a teeny pinch and a little pulling, but I just thought she was adjusting the clamp. How mint! I got up and looked in the mirror at my newest piercing. Hmmmm. I wasn't too sure it suited me but I falsely smiled at her and said "I love it. Thanks". She then covered it with an antiseptic patch that was to remain on until the following morning.
I put on my bra and my top, very carefully may I add. She then offered me a cleansing solution and discussed the after care. Suddenly, I felt sick and a little faint. She said I looked pale and I should sit down. I did as I was told. After a bit I was fine, we had a chat, I paid her and left.
It's almost a week later and It's not very sore at all. I haven't had any problems at all...yet! I'm still not too sure about the bar but I can't wait to put a ring in. I like it more and more every day. I don't regret it! I now just have to wait 8 - 12 weeks to change it to a ring. That's OK though. My favourite piercing is still my tongue but I don't think anything will exceed that!
If you want to email me any questions, I would be happy to reply. My email is at the top. Happy Piercing everyone!
