I started thinking about piercing my nipples when I was 16. My cousin went and pierced her nipples and then showed me the next day. I was fascinated. Not to sound completely disturbed, but I thought they were beautiful and completely enhanced my cousin's entire beauty and personality. After that point I began to notice more people with their nipples pierced and I would ask them about it. Not the typical questions body modifiers get. Instead, I was more interested in other aspects. The healing time, what worked best at keeping out infection, what kind of sensation was there. After two and a half years and many interviews I finally decided it was time to go through with the procedure. I felt that it was the next stage for me. It was something I wanted to do for myself. It was something that would make me more beautiful to myself.

She is into body modification, but not quite so much as me. I told her what I wanted to do and she said, "Let's go!" There is a place right on her college campus that does tattoos and piercings. I was a bit hesitant at first. I had planned on going to the same place I got my tattoo done at and my other piercings. She found one of the girls on her hall and I chatted with her for a few minutes. This girl had gone to the campus piercer and had a great experience.
After I talked to her, I decided to not wait and go for it that afternoon. Once I walked into the place, a sense of relaxation came over me. The place was clean looking and organized. The female piercer was not in, but I did not care. For some reason I felt much more comfortable with the male piercer. He was nice and very knowledgeable. When I asked to see the autoclave and the spore test sheets he was completely obliging. He even answered some ridiculous question asked by a friend that came with me. He made sure I was comfortable and then we began the procedure.
He started off by getting out all the materials he would need. The needles (2, one for each nipple), two clamps, the sterilized rings. All the stuff was still in the sterilized medical looking packaging. When he dropped the cleaning swab he was about to use he picked it up off the ground, tossed it and then got a new pair of gloves with a new fresh swab. Seeing he was so thorough and clean made my friends less stressed about the entire situation. They all thought I was insane for wanting this done.
After the piercer marked both nipples he had me look at the placement and then we were off. For some reason my left nipple has always been more sensitive than the right one so we started with the left. The slight pain I felt was not bad at all. I was prepared for an explosion of pain and only got a pinprick. After the first nipple was done we did the right one. Both went through without a problem and the rings were placed. I could not feel a thing when he put them in. I was a bit surprised. I assumed that it would be a bit tender, but it really was not. After my friend Liz got one of her nipples done we set off for her dorm room.
I was fine the first night, or so I thought. I felt no pain and I was showing everyone including myself. I felt great about myself. The added attention was an extreme plus. Plus I decided that the sensation I got when I touched my hard nipple through my shirt felt like a localized orgasm in my chest.
That first night I went to wash it and hit a bit of a rough spot. I read the aftercare instructions the piercing guy gave me and was ready to go. I lathered up with the dial and began to clean it. When I move the ring back and forth a few times the pain was extreme. There was no blood and nothing crusted on the outside, but OH MY GOD was there pain. I finished the first one and started the second. The pain was so unbearable as I was rinsing that I ended up blacking out at the sink. I was only out for a few seconds and then came to my nipple slightly tingled. I swore that if it hurt that much the next time I cleaned something would have to be done.
Thankfully, the pain I felt that first time was a ONE-time thing. All cleanings up to this point have not hurt at all or nearly not at all. I have had this piercing a little over 2 weeks (there was no 2 weeks button, only a 1-week button). The sensations I feel are great. I do not have permanent hard nipples, although they do stay semi-hard. The rings are definitely noticeable and at certain times it looks like I have 2 nipples on each breast. When my nipples do become fully hard (like when it is freezing cold out) they tingle and this pleasant sensation runs from my nipples out to the rest of my body. Not quite as great as my localized orgasm when they get direct stimulation, but still a fun feeling.
I am completely 100% happy with my newest piercings. I would not change it for the world. Although my body modification days are no where near over, this was exactly what I wanted right now. I feel as though these 2 silver colored rings add a whole new dimension to me and I'm still exploring exactly what they have brought to me.
