I will say this now and again at the end of my story....BODY PIERCING AT HOME IS NOT SAFE, SANITARY OR RECCOMENDED!!!!PIERCING SHOULD BE LEFT TO THE PROFESSIONALS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.I will say, I tried my best to make sure all my implements were cleaned and my procedures were conducted in a sterile environment (or, as much as can be expected at your moms house in her bathroom). Now for the "experience".

I have quite a few piercings in the facial area (tongue, labret, septum, bridge, 3x nostrils and 4 retired eyebrow piercings). I have pierced myself on more than one occasion..I did 2 of my nostril piercings with unsanitary ear piercing studs that were once used to pierce my ears. Not good, but thankfully no infection occured. I have also pierced my navel 3x at home with unsanitary implements, as well as one nipple around Christmas and my left tragus, and numerous ear piercings. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!!
Well, anyways....last night I called up a friend that does piercings, the same nice man that said he would apprentice me when I raised $400 for my tool kit. I called him to ask about my sister getting her ears pierced in a larger gauge. I inquired about buying a needle and showing her how it would feel to be pierced with a 14 gauge needle. So as the conversation continued, I wound up telling him I'd be by later to buy a few needles. I started thinking, hmmmm...I could buy a few extra needles and pierce my eyebrows again....and with that thought, I decided it was time for me to resurrect my retired eyebrows. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and I didn't remember any real pain when I had had them done before, but I wondered if I could pierce my eyebrow. I put my fear aside and went out to get needles. I was endlessly excited to be able to pierce my sister, not to mention I would get new piercings.
I got my money and went and paid for the needles and came home, and boiled some hot water on the stove and sterilized 4 14 gauge loops. After I decided they were clean, I took my sister in the bathroom, sat her on the toilet, laid out the needles, and put on an unused pair of gloves I had gotten in a box of hair color. She essentially wigged out on me and I decided to pierce my eyebrow before I did her ear. I got scared and decided to get my nipple pierced again...it was relatively painless the first time. I slowly inched the needle into my nipple and saw a few trickles of blood ooze through the needle. It hurt, quite a bit more than the first time I tried to pierce my nipple myself. And since I didn't have a lot of Bacitracin, I didn't use any on my nipple...made the needle going through a little more painful because I could feel the skin being tugged by the needle being dragged through. I inserted the jewelry into my nipple, after waiting just a second to collect my thoughts and relish in my accomplishment,I looked at my sister and told her to park it. I put a new needle to her ear, asked if she was ready, and knowing it would hurt her, used all my might to try to shove it through with one push.I had never put a needle to my ear before, and wondered if she would pass out on me.I tried to make it go through in one push, but ended up taking one giant and one smaller one to get it through. I inserted the jewelry(I actually found that was the tricky part, because I pierced her so she would have plenty of room to stretch when she wanted to).
After all was said and done with with my sister, I proceeded to pierce my other nipple....I found this to be much harder than the first one, probably because I knew what to expect.Again i used no Bacitracin, I figured if I could do one without it, it wouldn't be that bad to do the other one. I put the needle to the skin, and the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt" came to mind. Not a bad song to think about while piercing yourself. The piercing took a second or to longer to do, and had more blood, nothing to get all feisty over. But now its done and I have a new set of piercings. The way I went about piercing my nipples is not recommended, but it was a learning experince, It doesn't hurt that much, and I moved them while I was in the shower this morning. Little or no pain, and I didn't have to take my shirt off in front of anyone.
once again kiddies.....HOME PIERCING IS NOT SAFE, SANITARY OR RECOMMENDED...LEAVE IT TO THE PROFESSIONALS. Happy piercings and much luck with all inquiries into the piercing world.
