First off, pardon the wordiness. I usually do not speak this way.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact KatieLawrence@netscape.net When Six months ago Artist Mike Studio Burly Fish Tattoo and Piercing Studio Location Flagstaff, AZ In October I got my nipples pierced. Don't ask why, I still don't know. Anyway, I got up the nerve and went to Flagstaff to find a decent piercer. I second guessed myself all the way there, and in the shop. But, I guessed if not then, than when? So, I did it. And whoo ha ha did it hurt. I wanted to slap that pretty smile off of the piercers' face. He first swabbed it with some antibacterial gunk and dried it. I think that he used Iodine and maybe a common rubbing alcohol. Then had me stand up and mark the spot, to make sure it wasn't crooked. (I am really happy he did that upon reading the story about the person who took 3 tims to get it right.) Well, you really can't be shy with your knockers staring at someone. It's just an oxymoron.. shy topless girl.
He told me it was good that they were hard (erect) because that means that when they get cold it won't hurt so much. They were so sensitive before to cold (it would physically hurt a lot to the point I often considered hand warmers in my bra).. and I will admit it is less. That is a huge bonus that I never expected. When I sat down and he clamped them I cringed. Truthfully, I just don't understand that enjoyment some people get from pain. To me, it is painful. All that comes to mind is my inner child standing up screaming "Stop it, stop it, stop it!!" So then he showed me the needle, I think that is just another form of torture.. like showing you the saw that will cut off your head. It just makes you far more nervous. The pierced the first and I almost hit him. Eww it hurt. Then he had to do the second, I didn't want to be lopsided after all. He said not to wear a bra, so I didn't... for about 5 minutes. And on the way out I swear I heard a guy smirk. I guess I am not the ki nd of person you would expect to see in a piercing parlour. I don't know what they were thinking, but I didn't find anything funny for about a week.
Then I ran to Wal-Mart and bought a couple of sports bras and wore them for the next 3 months, day and night. I had the 'crusties'. I actually used Claire's ear care solution on it twice a day. It has been 4 months and they still hurt sometimes. And I still get the crusties. I still take care of them and do nothing my piercer told me. He told me warm water and sea salt, he said that would help somehow. I don't quite remember what. He said that they would stop hurting in about 3 months. I did avoid public bodies of water, dog's mouths and most other things I do everyday.
They still hurt, and now I am in love with someone who wants them out. I tend to agree now. They are not too appealing. They lost their spunk. Also, I don't know about the future. I think a mom is just not very classy with nipple rings. I mean, you can see them through some clothes and they make me aware of everyone around in a bad way. I tend to rate people on a factor of 1 to 10; 1 being not likely to bump into me at all and 10 being the people I run from. This seems to make me a bit unsociable.
So, now I am thinking about removal. The pain is just annoying and the crusties are gross. I am sick of always washing and guarding them. I am frankly tired of all of it. And, the best part is, I lost most of the feeling of pleasure in the piercing. So all of the touching that my boyfriend does is about the same as shaking my hand, or licking my elbow. No, I think even my elbow has more pleasure receptors than my nipples. I am really not against piercing in any way. I just think it is not for me. I do have my ears pierced, and I think that I may lose one or four of those. I have 5 in one and 6 in the other. But, if my child ever does ask about piercings I can tell them the truth. I did it, and I will NEVER do it again. I don't think it is tasteful, or that it holds any class whatsoever.
I am however happy to send this message out to whoever wishes to read it. And to pose a question. Does anyone know the approximate healing time for the removal of nipple rings in a 14G?
Fun, Fun, Fun.
