I don't have many piercings, I only have my ears and then my cartilage on my left side done. No one would ever think that I would get my nipple pierced, but it was something I've been thinking about doing for a few months now and so I thought I would look into it. Yesterday, my brother, sister, brother in law, friend and his girlfriend all went to the piercing place together, because in a way we all wanted to get something pierced.

When we got there, I was so nervous I didn't even think that I would have the guts to go through with it, but I signed the waver and started looking at jewelery. I had to ask her what would be good for me and she told me because some of the smaller ones can be like cheese graters and split your nipple in half and come out, that I should go for a 14 by 5/8ths, so I did. It looked bigger then what it is, but I didn't want anything happening to my piercing. My brother decided to get his eyebrow done, my brother in law got his labret done, and my friend and his girlfriend got both their upper ear done. Anyways, there we are sitting in the place and the first person they call up is me, so I go into the room and so does my sister and my 2 friends, the lady asks me to take off my shirt and bra, I was a little hesitant, because I'm very insecure about my body, but since I wanted this I took them off and waited to get started.

There I sat with my chest showing to all and not caring, she came over and cleaned the nipple and then got out marking solution and marked where she would put it, so there was no turning back now.She takes a while to get everything ready, like putting the gloves on, and getting the clamp ready, so it makes you feel like you should run because you get more nervous the longer you wait. She walked towards me and was putting the band around the clamp, she then came over and put the clamp on it, now some may tell you that the clamp hurts more then the piercing, and let me tell you, they are right! I held the clamp there while she went off and got the needle, she came back and I looked down and the needle was very thick, I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but since I wanted it done I decided not to back out. I looked away and was talking to my sister when she told me to breath in, and when I did she stuck the needle through and I hardly felt it. I breathed out and calme d down a little, I looked down and saw the needle through my nipple, I thought at that point I was going to pass out, but I didn't. She then came over with the earring, this is where I decided to watch, so she hooked the earring onto one end and then pulled it through and went away again, she needed to grab the bead.(My nipple ring is a full one it goes all the way around and the two ends connect to a bead) By then I didn't even feel a thing I was talking and laughing and nothing was wrong, she came back and put the bead on and then was talking to me about cleaning it, she took out some more solution and started cleaning it and moving it in and out and showing me what to do and then I felt it! but only for a minute.

After the piercing, I not only had to lay down because I was breathing to much, but I actually wanted to get the other one done at the same time. It's now the day after and it's doing fine. I did have a hard time the first time cleaning it, because not only did it hurt a lot but it was hard to move in and out to get it cleaned. I've done it well from now on, but wearing a bra is a hassle, so I wear sport bras now because it's easier on the piercing. I heard on somewhere on this site that if you got your nipple pierced you should wear a pad on it and it won't hurt so much or rub so much, well I tried it and let me tell you it works like a charm! So to all the women who get a nipple piercing, wear a pad, take one and cut it in half and wear it over it, because it will make it so much easier! I'm now cleaning it 3 times maybe 4 times a day, and blood is still coming out of it.
