Ok, let me start by saying that I am a licensed body piercer and knew what I was doing. I don't know everything about body piercing and won't claim to. However know that as you read this story that the procedure described herein was done by and on and licensed professional. This is not a guide for the do-it-yourselfer, so please don't think you'll save a few bucks and perform your own piercings. BAD IDEA!!! Please go to a licensed, respectable shop where they are trained and equipped to perform the procedure correctly. Your body will thank you. That being said I'm ready to begin.
At A Glance Author riddance45 Contact riddance45@hotmail.com When Two years ago Artist me, jason Studio my house Location hood river, oregon I had wanted my nipples pierced for a while. Having performed the procedure on other people I knew it was intense but had made my mind. One night when my wife was out (I didn't want her there to try to talk me out of it or see me cry like a little girl) I got everything ready. I cleaned of the counter with some wavicide, wiped it clean with a paper towel and let it dry. I laid down some paper towels and got my techni-care (great stuff), forceps, 12g needles (2) and 12g barbells (3/8). Then I got 2 corks, cotton balls, cotton swabs, rubber bands, and a glass of water. I was ready to pierce.
I cleaned my left nipple with a techni-care soaked cotton ball and wiped it dry. Then stood straight in the mirror and marked the top and bottom of the nipple. I had decided on vertical bars. After I was happy with the markings I put the forceps on the nipple and lined up my marks. I then placed the cork on the bottom side and the needle on the top. I took a quick drink of water, breathed deep, and started to push the needle through my nipple. The pain was intense and since I was having to play offense and defense simultaneously, it was slow going. I got the needle through and into the cork, and took a look in the mirror. I started to feel faint and had to lie down. After a few minutes I felt better and was ready to put the barbell in. I grabbed the 12g barbell and butted the ends of the barbell and needle together. Then slowly guided the needle out with the barbell in it's place. Went though like butta. I screwed the ball on and cleaned the fresh piercing with a salin e-soaked q-tip. It was time for the other nipple.
I was half way done. I cleaned the other nipple with technicare and made my marks. Then clamped that sucker down with the forceps and got my cork and needle ready. I lined up my needle and began to push the needle through the skin. The pain on the 2nd nipple was much more intense. After what seemed like an hour I got the needle to break through the other side of the nipple and into the cork. I got the barbell ready and slid it into place just like the first one. Standing back and admiring my work, I was pretty impressed. I cleaned off the other nipple with saline and snapped a couple pictures.
I was very sensitive the first 24 hours and after that it wasn't a big deal. Then about 6 months later I decided to stretch to a 10g. One went through with no problem, the other hurt like hell but I got it through. About a year later my wife's hair got tangled around my left nipple while we were sleeping. When the alarm went off the next morning and she got up quickly I screamed so loud. It had torn my nipple and hurt like hell. I noticed a few weeks later that my left nipple was migrating. I tried salt soaks, vitamin e, tea tree oil, but it was no use. I ended up having to take it out before my body completely rejected it. I was really upset about it. My right nipple was ok, but I didn't want to be lop-sided so I took it out too. Sometime I think I'll re-pierce them. Except this time I'm going to pierce them horizontal.
I have since had my septum pierced and stretched it to a 10g as well. I tried to stretch it to an 8g and that hurt like the dickens. i made the stretch but it hurt to look at it let alone touch it to clean it. So i took the 8g out and switched back to a 10g.
