My nipple experience started on the day I made a trip to the beach with my cousin. We were walking down the strip checking out the cool shops, and also some not-so-cool shops. Anyway, we ended up stopping in at Ocean Mystique to check out the place, and to see if they had a certain piece of jewelry she was looking for. They didn't.

I walked up to the girl at the counter and asked how much it would cost to get them done and she said "25 bucks, or both for 45." Hmmm... I thought, digging into my pocket for my wallet to see how much cash I had. 48 dollars, so of course I asked how much tax there would be. The total would be 47 and some change. I decided that was a sign from a higher power and so I had to do it then, no more putting it off, thinking about how much everyone said it hurt.
I said "ok, I'll get both." I paid the register girl and she told me there would be a few minute wait. She also told me that the first one hurts worse than the second. Me, the ever-trusting sucker believed her.
For jewelry I picked out a pair of 16 gauge bead rings with large, light blue fiber-optic beads.
I walked out front to have a smoke and try to keep my heart from exploding. It worked.
In a couple of minutes a girl emerged from the back room and told me to come back, she was ready. Once we were in the back she closed the door and introduced herself, asked me if I had any questions. I only had one: How bad is this gonna hurt. She said it was like a pinch, That's when I knew I was in for it.
She had me take my shirt off and sit up really straight while she made the marks. She then told me to lay down on the table, I asked which way and she said it didn't matter. I laid down so my left nipple was closest to her. She then put the clamps in place and told me to inhale-exhale/inhale...BOOM! The first one was in and it hurt bad, a lot worse than I had thought it could. As I was turning around so she could get to my right nipple I was comforted by what the other girl had said, thinking "ok, this one's not gonna be as bad." She clamped me, had me do the breathing thing again and in the needle went. This one hurt about twice as bad as the first. When she had the ring closed up I looked down at me new nipples. Perfect.
She gave me some antimicrobial soap, and ran me through the cleaning routine, which is about the same as other piercings. As I left I slid my shirt back on, buttoned it up, and then unbuttoned it again. Both of my nipples were seriously sensitive. I had such a buzz in my head, walking down the sidewalk with shiny new steel through my nipples.
They were very sore for at least a couple of weeks. I couldn't sleep, or even lie down on my stomach for about two or three weeks. This was in the summer and when I would sweat they would sting. Slowly they became less and less sore. It seemed like a long time before they started to lay flat against my chest, but that's normal.
The only problem I ever had with my nipples was when I was in a craft store one day and saw a package of really cool glass beads. Of course, I thought "Hey, these would look great on my nipple rings, and the only cost a buck." BAD IDEA! When I got back home I managed to get the beads off my rings and pop the new ones into place. They looked great. About two or three days later I woke up in severe discomfort, with my left nipple swollen and sticking out. Immediately I took those beads off and put the original ones back on. Then I went to the shower and washed them. After cleaning twice a day for a couple of days, all the swelling was gone, all the pain was gone, and once again, all was well in nippleville. I learned my lesson about wearing crappy stuff in my piercings, even if they are totally healed.
Nowadays, I can pretty much do whatever I want with them, as far as pulling and playing and all. That's really fun.
If you think you might like nipple rings then go get them stuck. It may hurt more than you think but once they're healed they will totally feel better than you think.
Drop me a line.
