It all started 3 years ago when I got my left nipple pierced. My first piercing hurt quite a bit so I thought I would hold off on my right nipple for a while. I was visiting my Mother in Edmonton last month and I heard about a really good piercing shop in the west Edmonton mall called dragon fx. That day I went down there to check them out, I was really impressed with the selection of jewelry they had available. Scince they only take walk-ins I told them I would be back in the next few days to get pierced.

That night I got home and looked on the bme web site for some pictures of larger gauge nipple piercings. When I got left nipple pierced a few years back it was at a very small gauge and I now decided that I want both my nipples to be stretched to at least 6 gauge. I was getting to excited thinking about the piercing that I decided to go in the next day. I woke up that morning and called them to discuss the gauge that my right nipple was going to be pierced at. I agreed on 10 gauge for starters. Later that day I called a taxi to get a ride to the shop.

When I got there it was actually pretty busy. I told them that i wanted my right nipple pierced at 10 gauge, Signed some papers and I was on my way. I waited about 10 minutes then a girl came and said to me "you're here for the nipple piercing?" the time had come to get pierced. We walked to a room in the back of the shop, She done some measurements and told me to lay down on the table. She also informed me that this was the biggest nipple piercing that she has ever done. That made me feel a little uneasy, but I didn't let it stop me. I asked her if she felt comfortable piercing at 10 gauge and she said yes. I was laying on the table when she brought her tray of tools and stuff. The first thing I noticed was a receiving tube. I was wondering why she was using a receiving tube for a nipple piercing. I have never heard of this before. I have a PA and I don't remember the receiving tube as being a nice piece of metal. AnyWays, She told me to breathe in and out a few times. She counted to 10 and pushed the needle through. There was an intense pain but it really was not bad at all. It hurt more when I got my left nipple pierced at 16 gauge. She was now ready to insert the Jewelery. Ok, Now this really hurt! It actually hurt much more than the piercing itself. Luckly the whole thing was now over. I looked down at my nipple and seen a huge piece of metal in it. Very nice indeed, It did look a little strange because my nipple was so small with such a big piece of metal in it. We then went over aftercare. (Clean 3 times a day) One thing she didn't mention was doing sea salt soaks, But I did them too anyways.

Now that the piercing was over I slowly stood up, Gave her a tip and walked around the mall for a while. After a few minutes I was ready to go back to my Moms Apartment. I called a taxi and shortly after my nipple started throbbing with pain. It felt like it was falling off. The first thing I did when I got back was check it out in the mirror to make sure everything was ok. I hopped in the shower and gave it a bit of a cleaning. I was really excited with my new piercing. It was a little hard to sleep that night though because I kept bumping it in my sleep, that caused me to wake up a few times.

When I woke up I went into the bathroom to clean it. It scared me because it was very hard to turn the Jewelery, but after a few days it got better. It's been about 2 weeks and I'm still cleaning it and doing sea salt soaks. the next thing I'm going to do is stretch my other nipple to 10 gauge. My goal is to one day have both of them at 6 or maybe even 4 gauge. My piercer told me that I should wait at least 6 months before starting to stretch my new piercing. Thats ok, I plan to get much more in the meantime. I would recommend to anyone to get pierced at Dragon FX if there ever in the Edmonton area. They are a bit expensive but the quality is well worth it.
