10 GAUGE NIPPLE RING DONE MYSELF. HA!!!!!!!! VERY FUNNY!!!!

Where to start. Well, my piercings should be a good place. I only had one until I did my right nipple. I've had my left ear lobe pierced for almost 10 years now (just stretched to 6 gauge) and I pierced that myself. I've wanted my nipples done for almost as long as I've had my ear done.

I've been looking at all the pictures and reading all the stories on BME and was confident that I could also do my nipple myself. So, I ordered all the stuff that I would need. Needles.... check, forceps.... check, aftercare solution...check, surgical marker.... check. My friend is a prep nurse for surgeries at Harborview Hospital here in Seattle and she got me sterile gloves, iodine swabs and those sterile blue surgery cloths. So now I had everything I needed.

I planned to do it the next evening. I ate dinner and let my stomach settle for a little while. Then I washed my hands with some antibacterial soap and started to set up everything I was going to need. I had it all laid out in the bathroom ready to go. I pulled on the gloves and got out the iodine Qtips and cleaned a three-inch diameter area around my nipple. Then, I opened the little package with the 10-gauge needle in it and stopped dead in my tracks. I had the 10 gauge CBR in my ear for almost a year and it never ever looked as HUGE!!!! As that needle did. The thing looked massive.

I was determined to do this so I took the marker and made the marks, grabbed the forceps and placed them over my nipple. I had put a rubber band around the shaft of the forceps because there was no way I was going to clamp those things down on my nipple. I picked up the needle and breathed in and out deeply and ............nothing, I couldn't f*@#ing do it. There was now way I could talk myself into sticking that needle through my nipple. I know that for a fact because I tried for almost a half hour.

The next day I called up the people at Slave To The Needle here in Seattle and asked how much it would cost and it was a very reasonable 25 bucks since I already had the jewelry. I didn't make a appointment because then I would be getting more nervous the closer it got, so I just walked in later that day. I entered and who was the first person I see, Arron Bell. He does amazing tattoo work. He asked what he could do for me and I told him what I wanted and he called over Phish the piercer. He told me it wouldn't be a problem and that he would have to Autoclave the jewelry. There were also two appointments ahead of me so I would have to wait like an hour. But there was a lot to look at so everything was cool. Time flew by while I looked at the portfolios that were set out. The girl ahead of me walked out of the piercing room grinning from ear to ear. She had just got a sweet looking curved industrial that looked great.

Phish called me into the room and explained what was going to happen as he set up

the stuff. I took off my shirt and he marked where the needle was going to go, but he did it a little different than I had expected. He took a bottle of ink and placed a drop of it on the surgical try with the rest of the stuff and then dipped the end of a toothpick in it. I asked him why he did it this way and he told me its because he can make a finer line with the tip of the toothpick and make a line all the way across the nipple and not just two dots on either side. That way he will be able to tell exactly where the needle was going to go.

He then had me lay down on a table and pinched my nipple with his fingers and told me to breath in a couple of time and then he would put the needle in. There was no way in hell that I would have been able to do that myself, the pain was pretty intense and lasted longer than I had expected. But I guess it's going to hurt more with a 10-gauge needle than with a 14-gauge needle. It bled a little bit but not bad. I thanked them all and tipped Phish before I left. It's been almost two weeks and everything is going great. I already changed the ball to a half-inch spike and it looks great. I tried to send in a pic but they said the quality wasn't good enough so it will be a little longer before I can get another picture of it. That's all for now. Next is my tongue. I'll keep ya posted
