Well after a very short deliberation of what piercing to get next I decided upon my nipples. I thought this would be good as they're more private than the rest of mine (although I've recently found once u have them done your nipples get seen by pretty much everyone you meet!)

Oh right yeah I was with a couple of my mates sitting in the piercing parlour as one of them was there getting his tongue done and booking an appointment for an ampallang. Anyway I was sitting there talking to my other mate while he was getting his tongue done and I decided felt a bit left out with not being pierced and as I had nipples on my list for quite some time I thought "right let's do it now!"
So I wander over to the desk as my mate returns to talk to Bov (my piercer) I told him I wanted my nipples done, handed over the £30 and walked into the back with him and on of my mates (who's never been pierced or watched one.) I lay down on the dentist style chair after taking my t-shirt off and while Bov was preparing the needles and jewellery I thought "hmm nipples are a bit boring normally, ok lets do them vertically!" so I say to Bov just as he's coming over with the needles that I'd like them vertically and his reply was simply "Yeah, not a problem, well here we go then."
I lay down, now completely reclined and fully horizontal with my eyes fixated on my right nipple, as this was first to go. "Take a deep breath!" says Bov in his usual way, so as usual I breathe deeply, however slightly too deep this time. I've inhaled so much and made my chest bulge out that the needle has perfectly pierced my nipple yet came out the exit hole and stabbed me in the chest. Well this hurt more than the piercing! So after staring at it for a bit with just the needle through my nipple and having a laugh with Bov and Mini about the fact that I have an extra hole for my money the jewellery is in and I'm awaiting my next one.
I actually asked Bov for a quick rest before he did my left one, well this didn't happen, no sooner had I asked for the rest and looked down to see my left nipple for the last time without a bar in it I see his glove covered hands inch towards me and then the needle slide nicely through my nipple, not stabbing me in the chest this time! Now this one hurt a lot less than the first, probably the adrenaline rush I was on after the first one dulling the pain, well either that or the fact that I just wasn't expecting it!
I lie down for a further couple of minutes and chat to Bov and Mini about the pain involved. Now don't get me wrong I've said that being poked in the chest was worse than the piercing, but believe me the piercing still hurt a bit! It's not unbearable, and considering I was told that nipple is the most painful piercing a guy can get I was fairly shocked at the lack of pain involved. I actually found my conch piercing to be more painful than these. So if you're considering nipples but are worried about the pain, don't be its not that bad!
Right where was I in the story. Ok, I got up and walked out still chatting away with Bov and Mini and I get back into the waiting room turn round and discuss aftercare with Bov. Not really necessary as I know that I have to bathe them in salt water twice a day, piercing isn't new to me and he knows full well it's not as he's done a fair few of them! But anyway it's his job so I'll let him off, not like I was in a rush to go anywhere. So after sitting down and eating my fruit pastels I stand up and show my other mate, who waited in the waiting room. He didn't know I did them vertically and was quite shocked, he said they looked great though which I agree – I love them dearly.
While talking to Bov earlier he explained to me why he chose to do them as deep as he did (as I have rather deep nipple piercings) he said it was simply so that if I chose to I could get them done again horizontally, which turned out to be great for me as I've decided that's what I want to do – when I don't know.
So I thanked Bov and we left the shop, me with my new nipple bars, my friend with his tongue bar and appointment for his ampallang and my other friend who witnessed his first piercing.
It's about 5 or 6 months later and they've healed perfectly, they were no trouble at all and they're beautiful additions to my body. What I was told about the sensitivity of my nipples being increased was very true, they're now very sensitive and will pop up as soon as they get cold, touched, kissed or any other "fun" contact.
So if people are considering nipple piercings I recommend them to anyone. They're easy to look after, add great sensation and aren't the most painful thing in the world (in my opinion) and they look great. So all in all a great thing to have.
