My name is Aaron. I've always viewed my body as my temple, and I take good care of it. Not too long ago, I decided to start decorating my temple a little bit. I have gotten four tattoos and pierced my ear. It's nothing special, just something to start off. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to take it to the next level and get a body piercing. I got on the Internet and started looking around for what I wanted to do. I got onto the BME website and saw a lot of great piercing jobs. After a couple days of searching, I decided on my nipple.
When I made my choice, I started to do research. I read about all of the aftercare, healing, and all of the health risk possibilities. I thought about how this would affect my job, and what could possibly happen if it got snagged on something. I could possibly lose my nipple. I talked to one of my tattoo artists, who's name is Bear, and he too was looking to get his nipples pierced. He was more concerned about the pain more than anything, and this man has his Prince Albert done! I was not completely worried about the pain, I have these crazy ways of channeling it whenever I get a tattoo or something else like that. We discussed everything, and that locked up my decision. After a couple of weeks of saving up money, I was off to get it done. I decided to only get one of my nipples pierced. If I didn't like the way it looked or anything else, I would simply not get the other one done. I picked up my cousin, who's been with me for three out of four tattoo experiences, and we were off.
On the way to the place, I stopped and talked to Bear. He had gotten them done and they looked nice. He asked me to show it to him after I got it done so he could see how it looked. He even called ahead to the shop and asked if Lacey was busy. She wasn't, so I told her to get ready. I got to the place around 1 am, and found Lacey. The reason I went to her is because I'm a little bit weird when it comes to strangers touching my body. I was comfortable with her because she gave me my fourth tattoo. Bear was busy, and he even recommended her to me. As a matter of fact, when I decided on getting it done, she was the only person I ever considered doing it. I was looking for quality, so nothing else really mattered to me, so I drove over a hundred miles to get mine done. I didn't care about anything else, I just wanted it to be done right.
After all of the paperwork and small talk, she had me take my shirt off and sit down on the table. She cleaned my nipple up and marked it with a toothpick and ink. She worked with it to bring it out, and then clamped it. After that, she had me lie back on the table, close my eyes, and put my arms behind my head. I was totally relaxed. My endorphins were hitting so hard, that I wasn't even thinking about the pain. We were actually holding a conversation right up until she did it. After a few deep breaths, I felt this little sting. I was expecting to have this great pain when it went through, but it was nothing. I've had razor burns worse than that. When I looked down, she had already put the jewelry in my nipple and was already done. I was completely amazed at how fast it took. It was done so fast that, my cousin, who wanted to see it done, missed it because he turned his head and was talking to some other guy.
When I saw that she was already done, the endorphins kicked up to another level. I felt like I was walking on cloud nine with Zeus. I was just so euphoric. It looked great. Lacey told me about all of the cleaning methods and told me how good it looked. We spent the next hour just sitting around shooting the bull and playing pool while we were waiting for Bear. He showed up and really liked it. It was a cold night, so when I walked outside, I felt the blood circulating a little bit more, but that didn't make it feel any worse.
It's been a couple of days since I got it done, and it still looks great. The healing is going great, and I'm just now coming down from my cloud. All of my friends think it looks cool, and I recommend this to people who are looking to get pierced. Don't let anybody else's horror stories scare you away from getting what you want done. It really made me feel good to add another decoration to my body/temple. Aaron
