My friend Jenny and I went out one Saturday night with intentions on going to a block party. Since there was going to be a "rockabilly band" playing and a lot of hot guys (supposedly) I wore my new *and very uncomfortable* dress, this becomes important later. So, we drove by to find nothing but a blocked off street filled with beer guzzling college yuppies and decided to find something else to do.

Studio Freaks Location Tulsa,OK After an hour of driving around and eating junk food in a parking lot Jenny and I agree to go to the porn shop as a last resort for a few laughs but instead end up going to the tattoo and piercing place next door. I hadn't ever been there but Jenny was apparently a regular.
She talked to the guy about getting her last ink fixed while I sat there for about half an hour bored out of my mind. It was freezing cold and I had to pee. I looked through my purse and saw that I had enough money to get a new piercing so I figured, why not? It had been more than a whole month since I got my septum done. Nothing better to do on a Saturday night than get a new piercing. I had been thinking about getting my nipple(s) or vertical hood done for a few months but never thought I'd go through with it. I've heard good stories about Freaks Mercantile and have had plenty of friends recommend them to me so I asked the guy if he could fit me in.
My final decision was to do my left nipple. There were two people in front of me, one to get their nipples done and one guy getting his PA so I had plenty of time to think about how much I really wanted to get mine done. I only had enough money to get my left nipple done, which was a little disappointing at the time but I'll probably go get my right one done this week.
"I've heard it hurts worse than your clitoris Miranda! I would NEVER get my nipples pierced!" Jenny kept saying, I must have heard this ten times. Let me tell you something, always expect the worst but know it probably won't be as bad as you think. The owner talked to all of us separately about healing times, when to clean it, how to clean it, all of the general stuff, and also "no rough sex" for quite awhile, especially for the guy getting his PA done.
It sounded much more simple than my septum so I filled out the paperwork and took a "before picture" (which because of my damn dress took forever). This little ritual I wasn't so sure about but I went through with it anyway.
About an hour later after all of the needed information (this whole time mind you I needed to pee) I was finally called into the back. He told me to pull my dress down to my waist (which took about ten minutes, kind of took the spontaneity out of the idea) and to stand up with very good posture. He wiped it off, marked it, then told me to lay down with my back straight and arm up. I was really worried about the clamps, they were the worst thing about any of my other piercings I've gotten and your nipples are obviously very sensitive. I was surprised at the lack of pain that it included and the fact that it felt good.
"Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly." For once the needle was the worst part of the piercing process. The whole thing only took about a minute. Before I knew it the ring was in and I had my left nipple pierced! I got it done with a 14 gauge and hope to get up to a 10 gauge (someday, not soon). As far as it being "worse than clitoris piercings", if that's true then on a scale of one to ten, one not hurting at all, a clitoris piercing must be a two. I'd say it's a good idea for a first piercing.
So far it hasn't hurt except for obvious reasons (bumping it and what have you). Being able to wear a bra helps a lot too because your breast isn't constantly moving. Cleaning it has been very simple and it has yet to get crusty or sore. The only thing I had a problem with was my seat belt and, at first, laying on my stomach. Moving the ring in the shower and working the soap on it has felt really strange but it hasn't been painful so that's a plus.
I don't recommend nipple piercings to guys just because most guys aren't able to wear bras which could make it more of a painful experience but note that it's definitely not near the worst thing you could do.
