After toying with the idea of getting my nipples pierced for awhile, I broached the subject to my boyfriend. He agreed that it would be sexy, and he didn't mind if I had it done. The day after I talked to him, I couldn't get the thought out of my mind. I decided to go down to the strip outside base and take a look at the piercing shops. Since it was Sunday, I didn't expect any to be open, but I wanted to take a look in the windows to see if they looked like decent places, and to see what times they were open.

Strange enough, one shop was open - Good Karma. It was dreary and raining out, and that always puts me in a relaxed mood. I thought that I would run in and see how much they charged for nipple piercings, but in the back of my mind, I knew that I was going to have it done then.

The shop was very clean, and very bare. There was a nice office type area set up in the corner and soft chairs in a waiting area, and the hall was lined with cubicles that had doors. Very nice and relaxing. After waiting for the man behind the counter to get off the phone (he was looking to buy a new fridge, heh), I asked him about the piercings. He told me that it would cost $50, which included jewelry. I misunderstood him and thought that he meant $50 per nipple, and agreed. It was fifteen minutes before closing time, but he said that it only took a few minutes.

We went to a cubicle in the back, and he handed me a form to fill out and sign, and looked at my license. Then he told me to disrobe and to stand in front of him, my shoulders held naturally, and examined my breasts. I was worried that my nipples were too small to pierce, and he said that I had the perfect type of nipples to pierce. Yay! He took out two little packets that contained a needle and a CBR, then put on gloves and swabbed my nipples down with rubbing alcohol. He marked the entrance and exit holes with a pen, then told me to sit down in a comfy chair towards the back of the room.

I asked him if he was going to use clamps, and he said no, because the clamps often hurt more then the actual piercing. That was fine with me - I wasn't the professional. After arranging all of the tools he would need, he took my right breast in his hands and squeezed it so that it was a little bit flat, and began to put the needle in. It felt like he went through actual breast material, popped into an empty space halfway through, then went through more breast material before the needle was out. The pain lasted about two seconds, and calmed down to an ache once the needle was through. It didn't hurt bad enough to move or say anything, though.

He told me that the second piercing would hurt less, and then proceeded to repeat the procedure on my right breast, and... OWW! That time I couldn't help but clench my fists and say, "Oww, oww, oww, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!" The pain only lasted for two or three seconds. I think that my left side hurt more then my right because that breast is a tad bit larger then the other, and has always been a bit more sensitive.

I looked down at my nipples, and it was almost amusing to see the needles sticking through them. He took out the CBRs and inserted them. I chickened out and didn't watch that, though now I wish I had. Then he went through the aftercare instructions with me- wash with mild soap, soak in salt water, and don't mess with the ring.

We went back out into the main area, and I paid for the piercings, and gave him a $20 tip. He must have thought I was crazy, giving him nearly half the cost of the piercings in a tip, but I thought that he did wonderfully. He put me very much at ease. I have anxiety attacks, but I had no problem at all with the piercings. I didn't even have a nervous stomach. He was extremely nice. He even offered to have the tattoo artist touch up the black dragon on my left bicep for free, and offered me and any of my friends / family a discount on any future work. I will definitely go back to him for my vertical hood piercing. If you're in Biloxi, visit Good Karma- it is an extremely well run shop, the people are friendly, and it's very clean. Especially for the timid, conservative type- I would not have been able to tell it was anything other then an office unless I knew any better!

The nipple piercings are worth it- my nipples are more sensitive. That's always a good thing. Don't hesitate on this one. ;-)
