Well, I've been wanting to do double labrets for a while, but I had no idea what it would feel like. Being the curious guy I am, I decided to try a nipple piercing as my first.

First step was to buy a needle (i had thought about 14, but got a 12 instead), and the next day I spent a little more buying a little 12 horseshoe thingie. So now I was set.

I washed everything off really well and sterilized the needle and thingie in alcohol (or at least I hope it sterilized it). Unfortunately, it wasn't all that easy holding my nipple and sticking a needle through my rubber skin so i got my friend to do it with me. Not having clamps, we improvised and used one of those small clips that usually hold the potato chips closed.

So now the fun. He puts the needle to my skin and gets ready (im not gonna lie, i was a little shaken), tells me on 3 to breath out. 1... I'm thinking oh no. 2... don't back out, don't back out. 3... too late. He pushes it through. It doesn't really hurt at all, but bad luck strikes. The clip comes off and scratches me up a lil bit when the needle is only half way through. So now, well... the needle is half way through. He asks if I want him to take it out or keep going, and I had waited way to long to just give up half way, so I say keep going. I try and get a grip on things and help him push the needlie through but it's not really wanting to come out. We later agreed this was probably the worst moment, because you could see the needle trying to poke out and the skin is quickly thinning and turning a lighter color. This was also probably the least fun but I now think back to how funny it actually was.

It finally tears through the skin and I'm still not feelin any pain. In fact, now with all the anxiety and anticipation gone, I'm just plain happy. I sit there for a second and just let the moment sink in. Right about then, I was finally in my own little happy world. I took a look in some glass to check out what it looked like with a sharp piece of metal protruding from my nipplie. I laughed a lot and talked a little before I finally got back to pushing it the rest of the way through. My friend says "I only hope I don't lose the hole." That made me think for a second, but I was just laughing as the horseshoe went in and needle came out. This is the only time it really bleeds, but it was only 3 or 4 drops, a lot less than I had really expected. Screwed on the ball and the worst part was over. Again, it didn't really hurt, but just because I figure it might start later, I took a few Ibuprofens.

It has been 3 days now, and I'm really happy with it, even though it made my nipple all hard for a day or two. I keep it really clean but because it is still a little sore to the touch. I remember the first day at school I was really jumpy because I kept thinking everyone was on a quest to twist my nipple.

I wanna do the other one some time in the next week or two, and I might even try a 10 gauge. One thing I've found is about 1 in every few people doesn't really understand why I did it. Every now and then some punk with a really itsy bitsy tiny earring in his left ear comes up to me trying to be a punk and says it's gay. I'm not trying to say I am the almighty hardcore piercer, heh, I'm not nearly that arrogant, but in my opinion they should open up and realize that it is probably more than they would be willing to do. And in any case, I'm not trying to please them. It was the most fun I've had in a long time!

I try to keep it real clean and I'm just guessing that it's healing okay. I later realized it was farther in on one side than the other but you can't really tell unless you look really hard. It's still worth it, considering I would have had to pay to go get it done somewhere else. I also hear that the nipple piercing is supposed to be worse than labret, so I will probably be getting that soon as well. I guess piercing really is addictive. A handful of people that see mine want theirs too, but whether or not they really will is all a mystery to me. Nothing bad has happened to it yet, which is a good thing, but keep in mind I've only had it for three days. I'm prepared for just about anything right now.

All in all, the only thing I can really think to warn people about is try to get clamps if you can, because chip clips don't work all that well.
