Well it has been one week and my nipple piercing is coming along just fine. First, I will share my motivation for getting them done. I was getting to a point where I wanted to do something spontaneous and little naughty. I was looking on the Internet and saw some male nipple piercing and I thought man that really looks great! I am a college student who will be graduating soon so I thought it would be good because I liked the look and I only have to show people that I want to see it. Making my nipples more sensitive and sexual also intrigued me. Now don't get me wrong I am a total beginner to piercing and may just live with my nipples forever and not get anything else pierced ever but I think any story really helps. I know I read a million stories and tried to find one where someone had my mindset. Body modification is a personal thing and very artistic in my opinion. However, the individual has control over what happens so do what you are comfortable with and have f un with it. Honestly, I am not sure how the idea popped into my head to get it done but I am happy it did because I like the results so far.
At A Glance Author T-Nip When A week ago Artist Ed Studio Splash of Color Location East Lansing, MI The day I decided to go was a beautiful Saturday with the sun shining and a positive feeling in the air. I knew that this was the day I would get it done. So, first in the morning I stopped by the studio just to check things out. The girl behind the desk was very nice and looked very pretty with her piercings. She answered a few of my questions gave me a flyer and said that they would be open till 10 (I think she knew I would be back somehow). So I scurried out of there feeling pretty nervous.
I went home and ate a good meal and a protein bar and read more experiences here on BME to try and calm my nerves. I then called and made an appointment for 7pm. I arrived early and filled out my paperwork and talked with the receptionist a little longer. Now I usually don't sweat very much being a slender, fairly athletic guy but I was truly sweating up a storm. I had the trademark upper lip sweat nervousness. My head was buzzing! I walked to the studio as it was pretty close to my dorm room and I would say this was a good idea. It gave me time to think and not be rushed. My mind was super sharp and I remember my vision being really clear. I assume this happened because my adrenaline was pumping like crazy.
Next, I met Ed and like a lot of people say he really encouraged and calmed my nerves. He explained everything, explained all sterilization, changed gloves a million times and really did a very good prep job. While I am on the subject of cleanliness I would like to suggest to everyone to first check out the place you are going to get pierced. Just go in, look around, and get a feeling for it. I did this and the place looked and smelled very sterile so that made me feel at ease about safety. Still my head is buzzing a little and he marks my nipples with a pen while I am standing. He then told me to lie down and he put the clamps on. No biggie! He says to breathe in and out and BAM! Done! Piece of cake! Wow I hardly felt it and what a rush. Then came the other one... ugh... Okay that one hurt quite a bit but nothing unbearable. I tipped Ed and thanked him profusely and walked out with a smile on my face. On the way home I popped a couple Advil but to be honest I don 't think I even really needed it.
It has now been about a week and they are doing well. I follow the aftercare sheet very carefully. I also soak my nips in a saltwater solution for 10 minutes everyday which I highly recommend. I had a little bleeding the first night from my left nip but after that not bad. The so-called crusties have not really been a very big deal. My right is a little more tender to the touch and more swollen. This is expected though as I know that not all parts heal exactly the same. The healing has not been a big issue so far. I can sleep in any position and knock them gently without any major discomfort.
Overall, I would highly recommend this piercing! You will grow to love the look and all your friends will say you are crazy but it is great. My girlfriend liked it and I like it so I am sure we will have some fun with them in a couple months. The healing seems to be going very smoothly and I hope they will heal quickly so I can play with them a little. It is not dreadfully painful as they say. I think they were not bad at all and then benefits far outweigh the negatives. Go for it! Be spontaneous! Be naughty! I hope this helps people because I know that reading these experiences sure helped me out and gave me a good quick piercing education.
