This is my story of my long-awaited nipple piercing. I've always wanted to make this dream piercing a reality, but being a very modest and shy female, I knew there was no way I would be able to take my shirt off in front of a complete stranger. I figured if I could possibly find a female piercer, I'd feel a little more at ease. Since I knew there were no female piercer's in my area, I contacted a good friend of mine in Philadelphia for her help. She directed me to Megg at Infinite on Fourth Street. This all took place on a Thursday. I went home from work, really thinking all of this over, and looked up some experiences on BME that were done at Infinite. They all sounded great and I felt better knowing a female, with the same parts as I, obviously, would be doing this piercing. I decide that no matter what comes up, I am going to go through with this.

So Friday rolls around and on my lunch at work I decided to look up the website for Infinite. I get their phone number and give them a call to check on hours, see if they need appointments, how much I need, and make sure Megg is working. The polite and very understanding guy on the phone tells me they don't make appointments but if I come sometime in the afternoon I should have no problems, being they get very busy at night. To my surprise he also informed me that Megg will only be working the following Thursday, and it's her last day because she's moving! I hung up with him almost in shock. I didn't know what to do at this point. I was very excited about getting this piercing done. All day at work I thought about it and talked to a bunch of my friends. Their advice was "If you want it bad enough, you'll just get it done."

Saturday morning my alarm goes off bright and early and a friend of mine and I head out for Philly. The whole ride I was so nervous and sick to my stomach it was unbelievable. I never had that feeling before. Two hours later, we arrive in Philadelphia. I park my car and walk South Street, until I reach Fourth Street; I look over to my left and see "Infinite Body Piercing", grab Amanda, and head toward it. We go inside and I'm suddenly intrigued by all the very cool body jewelry, which our smaller shops don't carry as much and in so many different sizes. As I'm looking at all these different plugs that I really want, a guy comes over and says "Hi! Can I help you with something?" I look up at him and say "Yeah, I'd like to get my nipples pierced." He walks away to go get the paperwork. I looked at Amanda like "Oh my god! What did I just do?" I believe I even thought out loud. He comes back and says, "Before you fill any of this out, do you have any questions?" I ans wered "No" to him and picked up his pen to fill out the paper work. He asked me "When was the last full meal you had?" I told him about 2 hours ago at the rest stop on the way here. He says, "Perfect."

It was now time to pick out jewelry. I knew I wanted either cbr's or cbb's, but wasn't sure which gauge to go with. My decision was to go with a 12 gauge Circular Barbell.

I wait out in the lobby for about 5 minutes when John comes out and greets me. There were about 4 people sitting out front so I wasn't expecting to go in for a little while. I come to find out they were there to order jewelry, or waiting for a friend who was being pierced etc.

We go into his room and I sit up on the chair. I've seen very clean piercing rooms before, but this was by far the cleanest. I felt as if I was in my doctor's office; from the start I knew I defiantly came to the right place. John went over the procedure with me. He told me to watch the way he was washing his hands. He put anti-bacterial soap on and basically washed his whole arm. He informed me how to clean my piercing and when to clean them etc. He said when he was done he was going to be giving me a little booklet that would have very helpful information for me.

After all the cleaning of hands and jewelry John tells me to take off my shirt. He then cleans my nipples and tells me to stand up so he can mark me for jewelry placement. He wheels the silver tray over covered with jewelry and needles and purple gloves! Amanda, who is by my side, says to me, "Don't get mad, but I'm just going to look over here at this wall." I didn't mind at all, she was brave for just going into that room with me, and being by my side through the procedure.

Now it's time for the breathing exercises. John asks me to breathe in, and breathe out. This is the part where I really get scared because I know how this works. I breathe in, then out, then in goes the needle while I take my breath in. He puts the jewelry in and the left side is done. I read plenty of stories on BME, and how the second one always hurt more. So I asked for just one tiny second, and I explained why to him. I just took a couple breaths to relax myself and I was ready to finish this off. Of course, same story with the right one, breathe in, breathe out, breath in, and the needle was through. Again, he put the jewelry in and I was done. I did feel pain in the right nipple, and felt nothing in the left. He informed me that I can wear a bra if I feel comfortable, there is no rule saying I can't wear one. He said comfort is the main deciding factor. He turned to go clean up everything and himself, and I put my bra and shirt back on. I noticed there were pictures of implants being inserted into someone's arm on the way, when I recognized the tattoos in the picture; they were his! He showed me them, we talked a couple minutes about them, and then he handed me a booklet of information on my new piercing. I handed him a $10 tip, thanked him a billion times and went on my merry way, thanking everyone at the front desk also.

John made me feel very comfortable. I didn't feel awkward in any way and I am very happy with my experience at Infinite and with him as my piercer.

I did not feel any pain for the rest of the day; I even went shopping on South Street and drove 2 hours back home to show all my friends how brave I was. I thought I was modest? Guess not anymore!

The booklet Infinite gives to their customers is an excellent little guide. It answered so many of my questions. I'm used to just getting a piece of paper with cleaning tips on it. This was very professionally done and I am again, very pleased with them and John. I would recommend anyone who wants to get a piercing in the Philadelphia area to give this place a try.

Thank You!
