***Warning*** Piercing your own nipples is not a good idea, as with any self piercing, you could do a lot of damage. Please don't try it.

I have been planning to pierce my own nipples for about a year now, but I never really believed I'd go through with it. One day I came across some really cute nipple shields with angel wings on them, and I couldn't resist, so I ordered them. When they came I told myself I couldn't put it off any longer, so I got all the supplies, and decided to order EMLA patches to help with the pain.

Then one night I decided to pierce my clit hood, but after trying for a while I just couldn't do it. Since I had a new needle out, I decided to give the nips a try. I never got around to ordering the patches, but when I poked experimentally at my left nipple it didn't hurt at all, so I decided to go ahead with it.

I marked my nipple with a pen then clamped it and started pushing. The needle slid in about halfway without any real pain, though I could feel and almost hear it going through each layer. Then the pain hit. A burning feeling spread through my chest and into my arms, but it was too late to stop so I pushed as hard as I could and got the rest through.

I used a twelve gauge needle with fourteen gauge jewelry, so I could slide it into the hollow needle, and insert it as the needle came out. As I slid it in my hands were shaking so bad I could barely take off the clamps and screw the end of the barbell on.Once it was done I lay still for a minute, then got up to look at it in the mirror.

It looked great, but having only one nipple pierced bothered me.I had read lots of times that the second piercing always hurts a lot more, so I was planning to do the other nipple in a few days after the shock of this one wore off. But the more I thought about it, the more having only one done bothered me. I decided to just get it over with. I should add that this whole time I was feeling very woozy and just inches away from passing out.

I lay back down and clamped the other nipple. I didn't bother marking this one since I hadn't used the marks at all for the other one. Then I took the same needle I'd just used and started pushing it in. The pain was incredible. Unlike the first piercing, this one hurt from the very beginning. I got the needle so I could just see it starting to poke out the other side and it wouldn't move any further. Every time I pushed the pain would spread through my whole body and my hands were shaking uncontrollably.

After lying there for about 15 minutes pushing every once in a while, I had gotten nowhere, and it occurred to me to go get some ice and try to numb it. I got up and wandered down to the kitchen in a daze...this feeling is the closest thing to being high without actually being high. Once I got the ice I realized it was a baaaaad idea. Ice of course makes nipple hard, not pleasant when you have a large needle halfway through your nipple.

I got rid of the ice and decided to try pushing it through one more time. It actually moved! Now the needle was most of the way through and again it wouldn't move. After sitting for a while I realized it was far enough that I could slip the jewelry in that end. I got the barbell in the started to pull the needle back out. Stuck again! I really should have lubricated it. Which gave me an idea. I went back upstairs and got some Vaseline. I slathered it all over my nipple and the needle, then tried pulling again. Finally it slid out and I screwed the end onto the barbell. Now I had two beautiful, matching, and very sore nipple piercings. I stood and stared at them in the mirror for a while with a huge smile on my face, then decided to go to sleep. I got a black bra (doesn't show blood) and carefully put it on. My nips felt better instantly. I slipped some tissues into my bra cause there were a few drops of blood every now and then lay down and fell asleep.

When I woke up the first thing I did was check my new piercings there was a little dried blood around each one, but otherwise they looked great. I was shocked to realize that they didn't hurt at all. In fact I couldn't even feel the piercing, but my nipples were definitely more sensitive.

I've had them about a month now and they are healing great. I do salt soaks a couple times a day and wash them with antibacterial soap in the shower. After I pierced them I noticed that though the piercings are both straight, one is a little deeper than the other. It doesn't bother me that much, but I might decide to get it repierced in the future. All in all I had a pretty good experience and I'm glad that I did it. However, I don't recommend piercing your own nipples. Go to a professional. It will hurt a lot less and they will be straight and even. Happy Piercing!
