Well, I was sitting at work one evening when the boss wanted me to go get him cigarettes. Confused on why he couldn't go get his own cigarettes, I gave him a rather annoyed look and stomped out the door. I went and got the cigarettes, and decided if he was going to be lazy and couldn't get his own, then I could take a little longer to get his cigarettes. Somehow, I got into my car and ended up at the piercing studio :).

I walk in the building, and no other customers are in there at this time. Chris, the piercer, asks me what I wanted done. Up until this point, I was unsure. I had it narrowed down to a tragus or nipples. With Chris' persuasion, I decided to do the nipples. (I think he just wanted to see my boobs. Hehe..just kidding!)

We walk back into the back, and I start shaking like its my second full-time job. This is the point where Chris starts showing his awesome piercer-ism. He immediately got me calmed down enough to where I wasn't vibrating on the table for shaking so hard. He asks me to remove my shirt and bra, and even though I know he probably does this rather frequently, getting half-naked in front of a guy I've known 15 minutes is slightly disturbing. Reminded of how bad I want the piercing, I do it anyway.

He then starts getting out his little tray, and everything that goes on it, and all that business. I try not to look because I HATE needles! They are horrid! He starts cleaning the nipples with this really cold stuff, and then marks them. He gets out the clamps, and clamps a nipple. Many people say that is the worst part of a piercing, but call me a sadomasochist, I found that to be rather enjoyable. Hehe. He tells me to breathe in and then out two times. After the second breath, for a half-second, I feel like someone might be trying to rip my nipple off with their teeth. But its only a half-second, and then comes the anticipated after-piercing moment of euphoria. I love that.

Now, it is time for the second one. Same procedure with the clamps and all, but as far as the pain, it felt like the person that TRIED to rip off my first nipple succeeded with the second one. But again, its over in a half-second. Chris said the second one hurts more because you use up all the adrenaline on the first one.

Wow! I was feeling so good after all of this. Since I was forgetting to breathe momentarily during the procedure, Chris suggests I lay down for a bit so I don't pass out. (That's just another reason I love being pierced by him, he is INCREDIBLY patient with needle-phobic people like myself. While I'm laying down, he explains all the aftercare, sea salt soaks twice a day, Dial soap once a day, and all that business.

Finally, we decide that its ok for me to get up and walk. I pay him the money for his incredible services, tip him, and I'm on my way. As I get back to the office, my boss wants to know where in the hell I was with his cigarettes. With the question, I say nothing and just flash him instead. Hehe. The indention of his jaw is still on the floor from when it hit. Hehe. I wish I would have had a camera to take a picture of the look on his face, because it was a definite Kodak moment!

After I showed him, he completely forgot about me taking an hour to get cigarettes, so I still had a job. Hehe. Since I was considerably excited about my latest (and coolest) piercing, I proceeded to call everyone I knew and inform them of all the details. Of course, the most common reaction is either "Didn't it hurt?" or "You showed your boobs to a strange man?" Hehe. My answers of course, NO, and YES!

As far as the after pain, not bad at all. The only downside is when you forget about them in the middle of the night, and roll over on your stomache. That right there was a rather rude awakening for the first couple of nights. As of now, they are about 95% healed, doing great, and I just recently went back and had Chris change the barbells :).

So, a few words to anyone considering this piercing. I would highly recommend it, as the pain only lasts for one second, and that is both nipples combined. It increases sensitivity, and overall, it looks great. So if anyone is ever in the KC area, I would suggest going to see Chris. He's the greatest! Happy piercing, kids!
