Well....let's begin. This is the first peircing that I actually got permission for. It all started one afternoon in my drama class. I mentioned to someone that I had my right nipple peirced and it sparked a conversation. One thing led to another and soon my best friends and I decided we were going to skip our next class and all get a nipple peirced. We had to go to the bank and then walk up to the place. It was snowing and by the time we got there, we were completely soaked. We sat down for a bit cause Terri wasn't in yet. That was cool. Just for a bit of info going in: my friend, we'll call her Danielle had one of her nipples pierced already and my other friend, we'll call her Missy, was a nipple virgin. We were all excited. When Terri got there, she made us call our parents and get permission and fill out all the crap. Soon Missy was in the chair. She got hers done. Then Danielle. And then it was me. I was so not scared, I mean, my first one didn't hurt at all. She was eve n using numbing cream!! In Toronto when I got my right one done, they used nothing, just a clamp and a needle! So anyway onto the actual piercing:

I showed Terri my other nipple ring and she said it healed really well. Now here's where I surprise her: When she goes to mark the dots, I tell her that I want this one vertically done, so I have one of each. She's new at the whole piercing thing and had never done a vertical one before. I told her she could use me for practise. She had so much trouble marking the dots cause she was used to doing it horizontally. She finally gets me to lie down, sit up and stand up for her and my friends to gauge her marks. After the go ahead, she puts on the numbing stuff after the sprayed some really COLD stuff on it. Then she takes out the clamp. I hate the clamps with the elastic bands. I like the clicky ones. But she puts it on and it fucking pinches! I told her the cream wasn't working so she let me sit there a few minutes. It wasn't hurting any less and with my other nipple I asked the guy to put the c lamp tighter, so I had a feeling that this one was gonna hurt more. Finally, I got tired of waiting and said, "Fuck it. Let's go." So she lines up the needle. To tell you how little the cream worked, I could feel her lining up the needle. She told me to breathe in and out. Well I took a big breath in and when I exhaled, she started pushing it in and OH MY GOD! I felt the pressure as she was trying to get the needle to penetrate my skin and then I felt every layer she went through. The middle was the worst! But, like all good piercings, it lasted a minute and then I was fine. Such a strange noise came out of me as I exhaled!! It hurt sooooooo much! My friend Danielle was like, "Relax, it's through!" Then it stopped hurting and I sat there looking down and she put the ring in. I cannot wait to put a barbell in. I hate the look of the vertical ring. Anyway, she sprayed some Tea Tree Oil on it and put some gauze and I put my bra back on. We paid our money and tipped her and we nt outside.
Big Mistake!! It's Canada in January. It's cold. We have new metal in our nipples. When the nips came up we were all clutching our chests in pain. Danielle's brother came to get us and we had some trouble with seatbelts and actually getting into the car (its a two-door). We got to my house and started looking at them. They were still sensitive, but we were ok. We went to a punk show that nite, but we stayed the fuck out of the mosh pit!
So that's my story....everything is going good. Cleaning with salt water soaks works like a miracle. By the way, I don't know if this is recommended or not, but the first two or three nights, soak it in salt water, put some Bactine with a Q-tip and put a surgical bandage on it. If your dont want your parents to find out, put a bandaid over it till you can change the ring. Works like a charm. It keeps it clean from the bed sheets and keeps and possible blood from getting on the bed. I do recommend it for everyone!! Good Luck Wit Da Poking!
