I've been thinking about writing an experience since I found BME a little over a year ago, but I wanted to make sure that my nipple was going to cooperate and not reject. Well the time has past and here's my experience:
February 14th, the day of Love. For Valentine's Day two years ago me and my girlfriend decided we would get our nipples pierced. We picked Avant Guarde studio in Milwaukee since we'd had work done there before and they did a quality job for a really good price. (this is where I will just talk about me and not my g/f) I can't remember the name of the piercer that I talked to but she was really knowledgeable and when I asked about jewelry she brought me to the back and just opened her shirt up and showed me hers, so that was a huge plus and helped me be a little less nervous about getting it done. Normally I am not nervous about getting work done, but this time I was unsettled a bit. I had heard from friends that it hurts fairly badly and whatnot, normally I don't listen to them because it's different for everybody so I don't know what my deal was this time. I told her that I was pretty nervous and I mentioned that it's prolly really gonna hurt my g/f since she h as bigger nipples than I do. At that time she informed me that in general it hurts guys more cause guys have more nerve endings since they don't have to breast feed babies, that make sense and didn't help the nervousness, so I just moved along to the cashier.
After deciding on a 14 gauge CBR, paying for it, and signing the forms I was all ready to go. She had me come in the back and told me to take my shirt off (now that's my kinda women, he he). She had me stand there while she marked my nipple, she kept pinching and twisting it cause she said that sometimes nipples would turn a bit when they get hard and it can result in a crooked piercing. Then she asked me if that's how my nipples always looked (they kinda have a slant to them) I had no idea since I don't look at my nipples that often so I asked my g/f if that's how they looked. She said yes, and then the piercer marked my nipple and told me to lie down on the table that looked like the ones that are in the doctor's office.
She put the clamp on the lined up the marks she had made and told me to breathe deep and slow while she got the clamp in place. The whole time she was messing around with the clamp it was rather painful and all I could think about was "if this hurts this much getting a needle thru it is going to kill" It only took her about 30 seconds but I was already good and relaxed and ready to go. She said that I should take a deep breath, let it out, take another, and when I let that one out she was going to pierce me. I did as she said and when I let out the second breath, there was a sharp pain then just a little ache. I got up and looked in the mirror and gave instant approval. I put my shirt on (which in the 15 seconds it took to put my shirt on I managed to hit my nipple and it kinda foreshadowed the next month of impending pain I was going to endure) and was out the door to get some food.
Walking to the car was definitely a new experience; I never realized how much my man-boob bounce and I don?t have hardly any man-boob. I'm 6'3" and 170 lbs so I don't have much of anything covering my skeleton, but every step I took was a painful one.
That night the first washing was a new experience in pain for me; it hurt 10 times worse that actually getting it done. It was pretty tender for the first month and I seemed to catch it on everything possible, but once it healed it was awesome. For the first couple months my nipple was super sensitive and hard all the time, but after a while it became used to it and now my nipple is how it was before only more sensitive, and I enjoy every second of it.
Well it's been two year and I've had minimal problems with my nipple, after I changed my SSS CBR to at Ti CBR it's been smooth sailing and I've had my other nipple pierced for about a year now. They are both doing great and the ladies love them, so I'd tell anyone reading this to go out and get it done, it's kik ass and well worth a month of tenderness!!!!
