I had the idea of getting my nipple pierced for a number of months and I decided that i would not get it done because i had lost interest. That changed one day when my friend said she wanted to get her navel pierced. I decided that i would just go ahead and do it (plus it was and still is very sexy to me). I realized that when i got there, I would have to deal with my heart racing for about 20 mins, then i would have to take my shirt off, then the pain, and last but absolutly not least the fact that i had my nipple pierced. This being my first piercing, I wanted to go crazy in the chair as the artist pulled out the needle which was pretty thick. My nipples aren't small but I was wondering how on earth I was going to have a nipple left but when you are in a chair about to be pierced, it's not a really good time to chicken out. I had my eyes closed, but what i know I will tell. The artist marked my nipple, then he reached in back of himself and told me to take a deep breath. He then started pushing the needle into my nipple. It hurt. He continued then he stopped and I was like "what the f*** are you doing?" (I was going through a lot" He then continued to push it through and I was like "Make it stop", "Hurry up", "is it supposed to hurt like this?". He finally finished pushing the needle through and I knew 'cause I heard him come out the other end.

Now that the hole was bore, all he had to do was put the ring in. It seemed like forever as I waited for him to get the ring, but finally he was putting the ring into the hole which killed me. All I remember is saying "Make it stop, make it stop, make it stop, etc". He then picked up a clamp type of thing to shape the ring then put the ball to close the ring.

With an official nipple ring I was happy and felt a little cooler than I already was before. I left the room like a pierced zombie waiting for my friend's piercing to be done. I think I held my tit for the rest of the day until a friend's mom who had a nipple piercing told me to put a bra on.(It really helps) I was told by the artist to use dial soap and warm water...then my friend's mom told me not to use soap, but to soak it in salt water for 10 mins. So I said "What the hell", I'll do both. I would clean it with a cup of dial soap water, then I would hold a cup of med/hot salt water up to my nipple for 10 mins. Everything was going well but I started slacking after about a month and I would just clean it in the shower once a day. I finally ran out of my dial body wash and began to use some other mixed berry body wash with those little micro moisture beads and I got an infection in the form of a bump near the opening of the piercing and it felt like a little pinch everytime I tried to turn it. I then realized that Ihad stopped my salt soaking and I was using the wrong soap. I started soaking in soap twice a day and within a few days, the infection was gone. It has been about two months and I desperately want to change my ring, and my boyfriend is dying to lick it. I can't wait but I have to, I'm really trying. I hope that everything goes fine in the future with the piercing.

Now this is the reason why I am really writing this...MY PIERCING IS CROOKED!?! THE THING IS THAT THE ARTIST WHO DID MY PIERCING DID IT DRUNK. I didn't know this because no one told me until after. He does all of his work this way so he doesn't freak out, get nervous, or mess up(?). Nothing is wrong with it but it does alter the real beauty of the nipple piercing. Before you get it done make sure you knoe everything about the parlor and the artist.

There are a couple of things people think about before they think about piercing their nipple especially women, so here it goes.

*Is it gonna hurt? Yes it is gonna hurt. People say who say that it doesn't hurt probably have a thing for pain or have a high level of pain tolerance. I personally can take pain so it wasn't too bad but that doesn't mean that I like pain so I wanted it to stop. It's not that bad so don't over-exaggerate the pain unless you are tender or something.

*Does your nipple stay hard all of the time? Not unless you are always horney. The pain goes away at least 3 days after the piercing is done, so the piercing is not as sensitive about 1.5 weeks after the piercing.

*What can I do to stop the pain? It is a good idea to wear a bra to stop unnecessary friction, and for you guys you can use surgical tape but be careful and clean it right after you take the tape off.

*Can I still breastfeed? I looked it up in numerous places and the answer is yes. Not with the ring in of course, but actually I heard that some doctors reccomend piercings. I just heard it so don't go crazy and pierce.

HERE'S THE BIG ONE

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

-Some say that for 6-12 mos it is to be considered an open wound.

-Some say that when the crusty sh*t stops coming out it's healed.

-I asked a guy, when I had it for 2 mos, when I can get it licked, he said "hell you could have gotten it licked 2 mos ago".

(That helps doesn't it) You be the judge.
