About two years ago I turned 18 and wanted to get something pierced. My family is horrably against this so I had to hide it, and the only thing I knew I could hide was something they don't ever see, like my nipples! So the day after I turned 18 my friend and I set out. I got to Body Art about 45 minutes before they closed, but they said they could get me in concidering it was my birthday and all. I waited behind a few people, and before I knew it I was filling out papers. You know the drill, drivers license, were not liable, that paper.

He told me this is steril, this is clean, this is what were going to do and all that. He was great he talked to me like I had known him for 100 years or something. He was very nice and he said that yeah it's going to hurt but not as bad as I think.
I was then asked to ummmm, take of my bra ect. Then he started cleaning the area, telling me the whole time what he was doing. Then he marked the in and out holes and said alright Im going to pierce it now. It's a fast piercing, like 2 or 3 seconds, so I figured how bad can it hurt.
By this time I was scared! I hadn't been really until now. My friend who was watching said I can't take this and left me! So that really scared me! I closed my eyes, he said count to three, thats all he said I didn't know if it was going to happen on three or after three or what, but I just counted. One. Two, and it was over! Three didn't matter at all! He said I was getting ready to pierce it and I didn't want you concentraiting on the pain.
Now I have to admit it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was going to, but it did hurt a bit. It was my first piercing other than my ears and let me tell you getting pierced by a needle is different then with a gun. It does hurt, but I have a high tolerance for pain. It feels kind of like a quick sharp bite and its over!
I paid and we talked for a second about coming back to get the other done. I wanted to wait for one to heal before I got the other done, like I said it was my first piercing and I didn't know what to expect. It was really cold out side and that felt really strange stepping out into cold like that. But it was good ;-)
That night I went home and slept in a bra, when I woke up in the morning there was alot of dried blood. So I got in the shower and it bled some more, but after that no more blood. The next week I was extremely aware of my nipple! It was so sensitive! It was great though. Going up and down stairs at school I could feel it, going out in the cold, everything.
At the end of the first week it had started to go down in swelling and looked normal again. You won't believe how swollen it gets! The pain has started to go away, it only hurts if I get it caught on something or when it flips up. I know that sounds strange but I fell asleep one night and it was fliped up, the CBR ball was at the top of my nipple, and WOW it was sore! Other than that it was great! No blood, or pain!
After about 2 weeks I didn't really feel any pain, it was more itchy than anything! The swelling had gone down, and it felt great to play with, but it iched. I did everything to clean it they told me to do so I figured it was dry skin or something, but I didn't want to put lotion on it. I went to the store and got vasalene and that helped the dry skin, and it made the ring easier to turn MMMM!
People had started hearing about my nipple and I can't believe how shocked they were. One guy that I worked with has his done as well, and thought it was great, but other people thought I was crazy being a girl and all. Well let me tell you, it hurts much more for guys believe it or not! Anyway they got over it and as I got more things done they got used to it. And Im not one who really cares about what other people think.
It's been about 2 years now and I have gotten more piercings that you can read about at a later date,my mom hates them but oh well she hates the tattoos more ;-)
