"You all right darlin'...I've just clamped it...take a deep breath...(AHHHHHHH) there you go all done. Would you like to have a look in the mirror?" I stood up, looked in the mirror...Woohoo!!! I had my nipple pierced!!! FINALLY!!!

We were discussing it and decided to get it done as soon as possible.
We realised the only thing stopping us was our age. We soon over came this by calling up my friends 21 year old brother and persuading him to be our guardian, as well as having to swear him to secrecy. It was all set to happen the next morning.
The next day I woke up so excited I didn't think I could make it into town without exploding! We all met up it all went to plan...though I must admit to being slightly more nervous then I thought I would have been. I am a piercing and tattoo obsessive, I have wanted my nipple pierced since the day I knew it was possible. But...when I sat on the chair, I could feel all my body moving to the beat of my heart. Things weren't made much better when the lady actually commented on the fact that she had never pierced anyone who was so obviously nervous. Once she had clamped it and I had chatted to her for a while and felt comfortable, it all went smoothly. I thought I would be afraid of the initial exposing my boob to a complete stranger, but that didn't even cross my mind when I was in there. The actual piercing itself was not even nearly as painful as I had expected...I even think getting my navel pierced was more painful. When I looked in the mirror...I had to smile and the words "at last" danced cheerfully through my mind.
Immediately after I felt no pain at all. Then a dull, achy sting kind of developed...this then continued, it got stronger and stronger then just disappeared and that is the most pain I have ever had from it. Even that was not so bad as I had heard. I was expecting extreme pain. Long sleepless night filled with agony. Being awoken only to find that you have rolled over onto your new piercing causing pain and bleeding. So far...touch wood I have not had any of these experiences and feel they are just horror stories made up. My advice to anyone wanting to get their nipple pierced but are put off by the stories that put me off for so long... GO FOR IT!!! They are all LYES!!!!
After having it done for a few weeks I decided that I could not have my nipples done if I did not wear a bra. Every time I am not wearing a bra and I move or do anything, the ring will get caught and pulled. My advice to all men out there who are struggling with nipple rings getting caught is to invest in a bra.
Cleaning it is simple, at first I was a bit reluctant to push the ring through, and twist it round to get to all the build up (Don't worry I won't go into detail about that). But once you are confident with it and know what you can and cant do with it...it's great!!!
I often think of the day my friend and I was in the library and decided that we were going to get our nipples pierced as soon as we could. I never regret that day, maybe the day my mum finds out I have it done I may have to change that. But right now I am as chuffed as can be with the new addition to my body (my nipple ring).
CAUTION: Do not get drunk and decide to show off your new piercing. Only do this in times of complete soberness. I only say this because you are going to have to be the one remembering it all in the morning. As well as having to go to work having shown your boss your nipple. (That could just be me at a work party... but be warned it could happen to anyone!!!)
From this experience I have learnt that studying is not so bad... though, due to my friend and I's little field trip to the nearest piercing parlour, I have been lacking in the study department. You never know what may come from a simple arrangement to go to the library for an innocent bit of studying...or lack there of. The reason I felt I wanted others to know about this little adventure of mine is because I have always wanted to follow through with getting my nipple pierced but have been put of by old tales of pain and blood. When in fact since I have had my piercing there has not been much, if any.
GO FOR IT!!!
