17/m/Toronto. It hurt less then my tongue. |

On January 22nd I went in the piercing studio and got my nipples pierced. It all happened one day when I got my tongue pierced. Ever since I got my tongue pierced I wanted to get another piercing. 'Why?' you may ask, simply because of the experience, taking care of it and the look.
When I got my tongue pierced I really enjoyed taking care of it, it seemed like it was a baby that I gave birth to and I have to make sure it's healthy. When that pierced healed I was really happy but soon enough I thought that it would be great to have another "baby."
It's been six months since I got my tongue pierced. I enjoy it greatly and thought about what other piercing I could have without my mom knowing about it, she already hesitated to say yes to my tongue ring but after couple weeks of begging she said I can get it pierced, but that's the first and only piercing I will have. So I said fine, well I lied. The nipples are the only place I could get pierced without my mom noticing, that and my penis, but I already had that done, and took it out because I didn't like it.
I decided to get both nipples pierced. Before I did get them pierced, about a month before I thought I needed to look good to have my nipples done, and when I say good I mean have a flat stomach and chest. I've been doing crunches for couple weeks now, and it looked fine enough (for me) to have my nipples pierced.
I ate a sub at Subway, it's good to eat before you get anything pierced so that you don't feel weak.
I went to Toronto's "New Tribe" and since I am only 17 I needed a note, they didn't even look at it, I got a friend to write it for me. So I gave the note, and $90 for the two piercings and would be able to get them done at 6:30 pm. It was 6:00 when I got there. So...6:30 came and Jon (the piercer called me in). I asked what everyone wants to know, "Does it hurt a lot?" and he was honest and said "It feels like someone's pinching you really hard for about 2 seconds." Then he told me everything he was going to do, and he showed me the tools he'd use and told me that they're all new and unused. I took off my shirt, he cleaned my nipples and marked where he thought would be a good idea to get them pierced, I agreed that that was a good place and we got started. (Before we got started I had to ask him if it mattered if I had a vein on my nipples, since I do have one going through the middle, and he said it doesn't matter.)
He placed the clamps on my nipples and we were ready to go, I had to pinch my leg just so that the pain would seem not as obvious. The first needle went through, it hurt less then my tongue did when it was pierced. It (the pain) lasted even less then the tongue. The pain was a bit different. Now the second nipples had to be pierced, the one with the vein. That one hurt a bit more. Because of the vein. But it was okay.
Once he was done and I put my shirt on, I thanked him and left. I went to get "Tea Tree Oil" antibacterial soap but the store didn't have any so I bought "Tea Tree Oil" antibacterial face wash. It works just as well. I got home, freezing, I had nip-ons and my nipples felt really weird. As if they were frozen. Once I got home and greeted my mom I took a shower, cleaned the nipples with the "Tea Tree Oil" face wash, got out of the shower, went to watch TV and eventually to bed. The next day (today, January 23rd) I went to the drug store to get "Baciguent" cream for my nipples (as the pierced recommended). It treats and prevents infections. Took a shower again, washed my nipple with the "Tea Tree Oil" face wash, let it dry and applied the cream. You'll get all the instructions from the pierced, if you didn't know.
Now my nipples are doing well, since I got them pierced last night they're still a bit sore and kind of sting when I wash them. They look great, if I may say so myself. Now I just have to make sure my mom doesn't see them.
If you're planning on getting your nipples pierced make sure you go to a clean studio. Make sure you really want them pierced and if you take good care of them and really enjoy them it's well worth the pain (very little pain) and money.
