Third time's a charm...... |

Well, okay. Here is my story....First off, I want to say that I'm an 18 year old male that is very very open minded and liberal. I live in the butt crack of America, Belfast, Maine. I work at the local movie theater and grocery store. Anyway, since I'm sure you care about that stuff, lemme get to the part about my piercing...About six months ago, I decided that I would be turning 18 soon, for me this meant partial freedom from my parents. I knew I needed to mark this occasion somehow...this is where my friend from Vermont comes in. see, he has his tongue pierced and he seems like a fairly free individual to me...after talking to him about it I decided to go and get pierced. So after looking on the internet for ideas, I found BME, and fell in love with a labret. However, I went to check this over with my boss, and she said the theater has a "no face metal" rule. I was sooo bummed. And since I need money more than a piece of metal in my face, I decided to wait till this summer and do it then.
Next on the list, the tongue. I went up to Bar Harbor Tattoo one night and had them look at my tongue. They said that she wouldn't do it because the webbing under my tongue is too thick and my tongue could split, so she wouldn't pierce it. BLAST! now what am I going to get done? I've been bitten by the piecing bug and need to get SOMETHING done....so as kind of a joke I decided to look at the nipple section on BME. Pretty soon I was looking at it not so much as a joke, but as a possibility. I found out about it and decided to get it done. This brings me to today...
My chum, Nate, and I decided to skip school and go up to get it done. Since it is about 60 miles away, this will take all day. We finally got there after a few detours, and I went in and met "gentle" George. He seemed really cool and made me feel extremely comfortable. So I told him what I wanted, he told me about it (most of this stuff I already knew from BME....) and gave me the necessary papers and we proceeded. I went into the room (which was EXTREMELY clean..) and took off my shirt. He gave the old nipple a looksie, just to make sure I wasn't deformed, or something. And since I'm not, he told me to sit down and he got the stuff ready. he then told me to stand up and he marked the spot. at this point I was kinda nervous cause I knew it was going to be painful. so I sat back down and he put on the clamp. "this is the most painful part I've heard. is that true?" I asked."nope." he said with kind of a grin. Then I saw the needle. On three, he said. One, two, three...Probably the weirdest feeling I've ever felt. Now IM not going to lie and say it didn't hurt, cause it hurt like nothing I've ever felt before. it felt really hot. but only for a minute. I just kinda sat there, grimaced, and squeezed the arms of the chair really tightly. he put the ring in, clamped it shut, and stopped it from bleeding. we sat there and talked for about ten minutes and then he told me about how to clean it and gave me his card. I paid the man and we were off.
That was about twelve hours ago. I've cleaned it twice, and I must say, that was the worst part since. it doesn't hurt at all now, just kinda tingles.I would recommend this piercing to anyone who cant get a piercing that people can see, cause now only certain people can see it, and that makes it all the more special.
It's been about a week now, and I clean it three to four times a day. It seems to be healing well, as far as I can tell. I don't let anyone touch it and I don't touch it unless I have cleaned my hands with dial soap first. It doesn't hurt as bad as it did. It only hurts now if it get bumped or jerked. and even then, the pain is just in my head, like "wow, that could have hurt really bad! Tomorrow, my girlfriend comes home from college and she gets to see it for the first time. I hope she likes it! The next thing I plan to get done is either my eyebrow, or I might get done at my job, it doesn't seem to be working out anyway, and get my labret done. If you have any questions, I'll answer them the best I can.
