OK then, let me start with a bit about myself :) My name's Cari, I'm 17 and about.......11hrs ago I had my nipple pierced. I'd been planing this forever especially since my best friend's nipple piercing looked so good on her. I've had this piercing intrest for a good few years now. My 1st piercing other than ears was a belly ring at 15, ever since then my intrest had grown. I've got 5 holes in my right ear, 3 in my left, my nose, my tragus(left), a belly-button and a tongue piercing. There's about a dozen more I want and let me just say Thank You 2 BME for such a fantastic site before I go on :)

It was sort of a spontanious decision 2 get it done today, but I think I knew from the minute I got up that I'd do it today. I mean who seriously wakes up and thinks "Oh, gotta shave under my arms!" at 7.30am :D

Well I had 1/2 day in college so I dragged my best mate in 2 town and confessed what I wanted done. She was psyched and said she wanted her tongue done and I said I'd pay for her as a B-Day pressie, since her B-Day is this week. Another friend was supposed 2 meet us but after waiting 40mins in Burger King we got fed up and went on without her.

I was soooooo nervous U wouldn't believe! I have a very low threshhold for pain, I hate needles and I was nervous that the place might not pierce me coz I'm not 18 for a few months. We went in and the shop was quite crowded, it's 1 of those typical........I don't know if there's a word.......U know the type of place that does piercings, sells body jewelry, a bit of adult clothes/toys, incense, bongs, herbal stuff and all that stuff.......U get the idea. Every1 who's every1 around here knows it and it's famous for piercing. I'm not gonna print the name here coz I'm not sure if U need the shop's permission or whateverI'm allways in there 2 buy jewlry and stuff and ask questions, every1 who works there is quite friendly 2. I waited behind the counter untill the que went down a bit and then a woman asked if she could help me. I asked if I could get a piercing since I hadn't made an appointment. She said it was fine and took us 2 the piercing room, which by the was had a woman painted on the door decked in all leather and bondage stuff(very relaxing I'm sure!) *lol* The room was very clean and tidy, white walls, few shelves with stuff on, a couple of diagrams on the walls and a doctor like bench thing 2 lie on. My piercer was called Lara(or it could of been Laura) she was really sweet and friendly, showed us all the instruments(in sterilised packages), explained how they were used and how they had been sterilised and all the rest. Then she marked my nipple and had me check that it was OK, which it was. Then she clamped it and put the anesthetic(sp?) spray on. Now I've read loads of ppl's experiences in BME and every1 sais different things especially about pain. I've found there's a 50% say it hurts and the other 50% say it doesn't. Well I'm sideing with the 50% who say it does. It killed!! even with the damn anesthetic! ow!! The needle going through was definatly the most painfull part the clamps were fine, the jewelry going in a tiny bit uncomfortable but everything else was fine. When she was done I looked in the mirror and I was happy with it. My friend then went and had her tongue done and she made a bit more fuss than me *lol* The prices weren't 2 bad my nipple piercing was £25 and my friend's tongue was £45. I seen a cheaper place, but it wasn't nearly as clean as this 1 so I was happy. I have no idea what those prices are in dollars.

I didn't really expect it 2 hurt as much as it did. Most ppl said it's like a bee sting but I've never had 1 so i wouldn't know. I had a meningitis jab a few weeks ago and that's the only thing I can really compare it 2, just a tiny bit more painfull. I don't for a minute regret it coz it looks great. I would definatly recommend it 2 any1 and I'll just say that the pain is bearable. I hope this story's long enough coz I didn't see anything saying how long it has 2 be.
